Finnegan picked up the save over the Rangers on Wednesday, striking out the side in a perfect ninth inning.

The right-hander took over in the bottom of the ninth with a 1-0 lead and ran right through the Rangers lineup, retiring all three batters on swinging strikeouts to secure his 10th save of the season, tying him with Ryan Helsley, Robert Suarez and Clay Holmes for the league lead. Finnegan has successfully converted each of his last nine save attempts and hasn't allowed a hit over his last eight appearances (spanning eight innings), posting a 9:1 K:BB over that stretch. Wednesday also marked his first time this season in which he struck out the side.

Holmes earned the save Wednesday, allowing one hit with three strikeouts over 1.2 scoreless innings against Baltimore.

Holmes capped off an excellent game by the Yankees pitching staff, as they yielded three hits and no runs as a whole. Individually, Holmes logged three strikeouts for the first time all year and his 1.2 innings of work marked his longest outing of the campaign. He's yet to allow an earned run during 15 innings and is tied for the MLB lead in saves with 10.

Soto earned the save Wednesday against the Angels, allowing two hits with one strikeout over a scoreless ninth inning.

Soto picked up his first save since Apr. 8, retiring back-to-back batters to close out the game and strand runners on first and third. While Soto shouldn't be expected to see much high-leverage work, it's worth noting that closer Jose Alvarado has pitched during the eighth inning in back-to-back games, leaving save chances to Soto and Jeff Hoffman.

Neris worked around a hit to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Mets.

Shota Imanaga dominated the Mets across seven innings, and then Neris shut things down to secure his fifth save of the season. The veteran righty has pitched well since taking over closing duties from Adbert Alzolay, as Neris has allowed just one earned run over his last five appearances, lowering his season ERA to 3.27. While things could change at some point, it looks like Neris is locked in as the closer in Chicago for now.

Wentz worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless inning of relief and earn a hold in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Cardinals. He struck out one.

Wentz has pitched well all season in relief, and he now has his first hold to show for it. The lefty has a miniscule 0.79 ERA across 11.1 innings and he's struck out 14. The move to the bullpen has done wonders for Wentz, as he struggled mightily as a starter last year, posting a 6.80 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 105.2 innings. He figures to stick in a relief role moving forward.

The Dodgers recalled Feyereisen from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

Feyereisen has put up a 3.38 ERA and 0.98 WHIP across 10.2 innings at Oklahoma City, and he'll now come up to give the Dodgers another fresh bullpen arm. Landon Knack was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Rodriguez cleared waivers Wednesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Worcester, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Rodriguez was designated for assignment Sunday after posting a 6.55 ERA and 1.55 WHIP across 11 innings with the Red Sox. The 32-year-old southpaw will now officially remain with the organization, but he will not have the benefit of a 40-man roster spot and will likely need to show significant improvement in the minors before getting another shot in Boston.

The Brewers optioned Uribe to Triple-A Nashville after Wednesday's win against the Rays, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

It's been an eventful two days for Uribe, who is now headed to the minors after being handed a six-game suspension for his role in Tuesday's bench-clearing brawl versus the Rays. The right-hander appealed the ban and allowed a run on a hit and two walks over one inning Wednesday, and he now has a 6.91 ERA and 14:12 K:BB across 14.1 frames this season. The 22-year-old will likely be tasked with honing his command down at Triple-A, and the demotion will give Milwaukee some bullpen security with Freddy Peralta also facing a suspension, as Uribe won't begin serving his ban until he's back on the major-league roster.

Saalfrank was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

The southpaw slinger will head back to the Aces after being brought up in late April. Saalfrank appeared in two games during his quick tenure with the Diamondbacks, and he allowed four earned runs over one inning.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Burdi (hip) could head out on a minor-league rehab assignment soon, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Placed on the 15-day injured list April 19 with right hip inflammation, Burdi doesn't look as though he'll be in store for an especially lengthy stint on the shelf. Burdi struck out eight over 6.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen prior to being placed on the IL.
