The Cubs transferred Alzolay (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

The right-hander has been sidelined nearly three weeks by a forearm strain and remains shut down from throwing, so the move likely won't significantly affect his return timeline. Alzolay will be eligible to be activated around the All-Star break, and there should be a better idea of when he'll return once he starts up a throwing program.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Brasier (calf) remains "a ways out" from returning to action, per MLB.com.

Brasier landed on the IL with a strained right calf in late April. A subsequent MRI revealed that the injury is mild, and the righty reliever has resumed playing catch. However, Roberts' comments indicate that Brasier isn't yet nearing a return. He'll likely need a minor-league rehab stint before rejoining Los Angeles' bullpen.

Kelly (shoulder) is on a slow program, and his return is not imminent, per MLB.com.

Kelly has been on the injured list since May 6, and he'll likely need a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining Los Angeles' bullpen given that his absence will almost certainly extend beyond a month. The veteran reliever was recently throwing from 90 feet, but manager Dave Roberts clarified Friday that Kelly isn't close to a return.

Kelly (3-2) picked up the win over Atlanta on Saturday, firing a scoreless inning during which he issued two walks and uncorked a wild pitch.

Kelly's somewhat unorthodox line was befitting of the wild game it occurred in, but the veteran ultimately emerged with his third win of the season. Kelly came in to record the final out of the sixth with Jarred Kelenic on third and the Athletics clinging to a one-run lead, but he then handed Scott Alexander a two-on, two-out jam in next frame that the latter was able to wiggle out of to keep Kelly as the pitcher of record. Kelly has now turned in scoreless efforts in seven of his last eight appearances, bringing his ERA (2.59) down to its lowest point since April 20.

The Mets reinstated Smith (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

The 30-year-old has been sidelined more than a month with shoulder inflammation but is ready to rejoin the Mets after a four-appearance rehab assignment. Smith's return will provide a boost to New York's high-leverage unit, which is missing Edwin Diaz due to a shoulder injury.

The Marlins recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

The right-hander was optioned to Jacksonville on Thursday but will quickly return to the majors with Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) headed to the injured list. Ramirez has pitched well in five appearances for the Marlins this season and has given up just one earned run with a 5:0 K:BB over 5.2 innings.

The Guardians placed Morgan on the 15-day injured list Sunday with right elbow inflammation.

He'll hit the IL for the second time this season after he was previously on the shelf from April 17 through this past Tuesday due to right shoulder inflammation. During his latest stint on the 26-man active roster, Morgan made one appearance, as he tossed 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen Wednesday in Colorado. Carlos Carrasco (neck) was reinstated from the 15-day IL in a corresponding move and will take Morgan's spot on the active roster.

Peralta earned a hold against the Royals on Saturday by retiring the only batter he faced.

Peralta was brought in with two outs and two on in the bottom of the eighth inning and got Freddy Fermin to line out to end the threat. He was credited with his eighth hold of the campaign, which leads San Diego. Peralta was touched up for four runs over one-third of an inning against Colorado on April 28 but still has a solid 2.66 ERA ERA this season. Over his past 13 outings, the lefty reliever has yielded just one run over 11.1 frames while posting a 10:4 K:BB.

Sanchez was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with right shoulder inflammation, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander allowed two runs and threw just 53 pitches over four-plus innings Friday against the Rangers, and the injury may have played a role in the brevity of that outing. The severity of the injury is unclear, but Sanchez will be unavailable for at least the next couple weeks. The Marlins have three scheduled days off in the next nine days, so they won't immediately need to replace Sanchez in the rotation.

Leiter (2-3) tossed a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout to earn the win Saturday against the Reds.

Leiter pitched a clean top of the eighth inning in a 5-5 tie, then moved into position for the win when the Cubs scored twice in the bottom half of the frame. The righty surpassed last season's win total in the process, and he's been about equally effective in the ERA department, as he's sitting with a 3.52 mark so far this year compared to 3.50 in 2023. Leiter is missing more bats, however, as his K/9 is up to 12.1 from 10.8 last season. His FIP is also down to 2.05 from 3.76 last season, suggesting his current ERA may trend downward.
