  • Nolan Hoffman RP | PHI

Phillies' Nolan Hoffman: Summoned from minors

The Phillies recalled Hoffman from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Hoffman was acquired from the Rangers in June and has collected a 5.00 ERA and 73:32 K:BB over 54 innings at the Triple-A level this season. The right-handed reliever will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

  • Max Lazar RP | PHI

Phillies' Max Lazar: Dispatched to Triple-A

The Phillies optioned Lazar to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Lazar pitched both of the previous two days and was knocked around for three runs over 1.1 innings in an appearance during Sunday's 11-9 win over the Nationals. He'll give up his spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen to Nolan Hoffman, who was recalled from Triple-A.

  • Tejay Antone RP | CIN

Reds' Tejay Antone: On rehab assignment

Antone (elbow) has tossed 2.2 scoreless innings across two rehab appearances with High-A Dayton.

Antone is recovering from a third Tommy John surgery and has made a total of only nine appearances at the major-league level since 2022. The odds are against him making it back to be a successful reliever for the Reds, but it's possible he'll receive consideration for a promotion during the stretch run if he's pitching well.

  • DL Hall RP | MIL

Brewers' DL Hall: Hoping to be back in three weeks

Hall said Monday that an MRI on his right oblique showed a "Grade 1ish, Grade 2ish" strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Hall suffered the injury during an appearance this past Friday in Cincinnati and subsequently landed on the 15-day injured list. He hopes to resume throwing within two weeks and return within three weeks, but that seems to be a best-case scenario. Hall has posted a 3.35 ERA and 27:17 K:BB over 37.2 innings covering 19 appearances (three starts) in 2025.

  • Cubs' Gavin Hollowell: Up as 27th man for doubleheader

The Cubs recalled Hollowell from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Hollowell will serve as the Cubs' 27th man during Monday's doubleheader against the Brewers. The right-handed reliever has pitched well during his opportunities in the majors this season, yielding just one run with an 8:3 K:BB across 7.1 innings.

  • Luke Little RP | CHC

Cubs' Luke Little: Moves up to majors

The Cubs recalled Little from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Little will rejoin the Cubs for the first time since April, after he walked four of the six batters he faced in his lone relief appearance for the big club before being optioned to Triple-A. Since joining Iowa, Little has been one of the affiliate's more productive relievers, logging a 2.66 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 53:24 K:BB in 44 innings over 31 appearances. He'll be ticketed for low-leverage work out of the Chicago bullpen.

  • Tanner Scott RP | LAD

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Cleared for rehab assignment

Scott (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Scott is ready to test himself in a game environment after he cleared a major hurdle in his recovery from left elbow inflammation by throwing a simulated inning against live hitters Friday. Given that Scott has been on the injured list since July 22, he may need more than one rehab appearance before being activated, but his stint on the farm shouldn't be a lengthy one. Scott leads the Dodgers with 19 saves on the season and could step back in as the team's primary ninth-inning option upon his return, as no pitcher has run away with the closing job since the left-hander landed on the IL.

  • Kirby Yates RP | LAD

Dodgers' Kirby Yates: Ready for rehab assignment

Yates (back) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Yates incurred no problems with his back while facing live batters Saturday, so he'll advance to the final phase of his recovery program by embarking on a rehab assignment. The right-hander has been on the shelf since Aug. 1 due to lower back pain but may require just a couple of appearances in the minors before the Dodgers are comfortable bringing him back from the 15-day injured list. Shortly before getting hurt, Yates had factored into the Dodgers' unsettled closer picture, but with Tanner Scott (elbow) tracking toward a return from the IL at a similar date, Yates may be in line for a middle-relief or setup role upon his activation.

  • Zach Agnos RP | COL

Rockies' Zach Agnos: Could play catch this week

Agnos (elbow) said that he hopes to resume playing catch Monday, MLB.com reports.

Agnos has been shut down from throwing since landing on the injured list July 27 due to right flexor strain, but he appears to be close to taking the first notable step forward in his recovery process. As a reliever, Agnos won't require an extended build-up period once he starts throwing, but he still appears unlikely to rejoin the Colorado bullpen before the end of August.

  • John King RP | STL

    Cardinals' John King: Return imminent

King (oblique) tossed a scoreless inning Saturday in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Memphis, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

As long as he bounces back well, King should be activated from the 15-day injured list at some point during the Cardinals' Aug. 18-to-24 road trip. The lefty reliever has been sidelined since late July with a left oblique strain.
