The Pirates activated Mlodzinski (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Mlodzinski was sidelined for almost a month with a right shoulder strain but is ready to go after making three rehab appearances. The reliever holds a 3.14 ERA and 29:13 K:BB over 34 innings for the Bucs this season.

The Pirates designated Feigl for assignment Tuesday.

Feigl made his major-league debut in Monday's loss to the Cubs and got hammered for six runs over 1.2 innings. The Pirates needed to clear roster space for the returns of Jared Jones and Carmen Mlodzinski from the injured list. It seems likely that the 33-year-old Feigl will pass through waivers unclaimed.

The Giants recalled Roupp from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old was optioned to Sacramento over the weekend but will quickly rejoin the Giants with Robbie Ray (hamstring) landing on the injured list. Roupp has made 15 relief appearances for San Francisco this season and has a 4.70 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 23 innings.

The Twins claimed Tonkin off waivers from the Yankees on Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Tonkin will begin his third stint with the Twins and second this season, after he made one appearance for Minnesota back in April before being booted from the 40-man roster. The right-hander had allowed eight runs over his final 7.2 innings with the Yankees but pitched well for them overall with a 3.37 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 57:21 K:BB in 56 innings. He'll be used in middle relief by Minnesota.

Junis will start Tuesday's game against the Athletics, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Junis' first appearance of the season with the Brewers back on April 2 was a start, but all 17 of his outings since then have come in relief. He has often gone multiple innings in those appearances, so while he won't be used as a one- or two-inning opener, Junis also isn't stretched out for a normal start. With Nick Lodolo (finger) joining Hunter Greene (elbow) and Andrew Abbott (shoulder) on the injured list, Junis could be needed for more starts beyond Tuesday.

The Reds recalled Legumina from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Legumina has allowed seven runs (six earned) over four innings covering two relief appearances with the big club this season. He will provide the Reds with a fresh relief arm.

Long (3-1) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Spot starter Alec Marsh was unable to complete five innings, leaving the win to Long after the Royals took the lead in the top of the fifth. Long has allowed two runs with a 6:6 K:BB over 7.1 innings in August, earning a win and two holds. Overall, he has a 2.37 ERA despite a 1.25 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB over 30.1 innings this year, and he's added one save and five holds while mostly seeing low-leverage work.

Schreiber (4-3) struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner over 1.2 scoreless innings, earning the win in the first game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Schreiber has pitched 3.2 scoreless innings, earning a win, a save and a hold over three appearances since he returned from a knee injury. He's now at a 3.76 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB with two saves and 21 holds over 40.2 innings this year. Schreiber has allowed a lot of baserunners, but he's still been able to maintain a setup role in the Royals' struggling bullpen.

Soroka (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Soroka has been shelved since the All-Star break with a right shoulder strain but is finally ready to test himself in a game setting. The right-hander had been pitching in relief before getting injured, and given how little time is left in the season, he'll likely return to a bullpen role when the White Sox think he's ready.

Gaddis (4-3) allowed a run on two hits over one-third of an inning, taking the loss in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader versus the Royals.

Gaddis allowed a solo home run to Bobby Witt in the eighth inning, which put the Royals ahead 4-3. This was the third time Gaddis has been scored upon in August, and the last two instances have been solo homers. While he's been a little shaky lately, the right-hander still has an impressive 1.65 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 55:12 K:BB while racking up 28 holds over 60 innings this season.
