  • Athletics' Eduarniel Nunez: Sent back to minors

The Athletics optioned Nunez to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Acquired from the Padres in a July 31 trade, Nunez has been roughed up for eight runs with a 9:7 K:BB in eight relief innings during his time with the Athletics. The 26-year-old has the potential to develop into a late-inning weapon, but he'll head back to the minors for now.

  • Scott McGough RP | ATH

Athletics' Scott McGough: Added to roster

The Athletics selected McGough's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

McGough inked a minor-league contract with the Athletics back in June after being cut loose by the Diamondbacks. He's posted a 3.58 ERA and 37:12 K:BB over 37.2 innings at the Triple-A level in 2025 but has yielded five runs with a 5:6 K:BB in seven frames in the big leagues this season.

  • Fraser Ellard RP | CHW

White Sox's Fraser Ellard: Called up, opening Monday's game

The White Sox recalled Ellard from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Per Jack Ankony of SI.com, Ellard will serve as the White Sox's opening pitcher for Monday's contest in Minnesota, likely covering an inning or two before turning the game over to the bullpen. Ellard was part of the late-inning mix for the White Sox last season but has collected a 5.87 ERA and 11:6 K:BB over 7.2 innings at the big-league level in 2025 and also holds a 6.48 ERA with Charlotte. Even with the continued uncertainty in Chicago's bullpen, Ellard will likely be kept away from high-leverage situations.

  • Rolddy Munoz RP | ATL

Braves' Rolddy Munoz: Joins big-league bullpen

Atlanta recalled Munoz from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Munoz was added to the 40-man roster over the winter, but he'll be getting his first big-league promotion. The 25-year-old has split this season between Double-A Columbus and Gwinnett, posting a 2.75 ERA and 51:31 K:BB over 55.2 frames.

  • Lake Bachar RP | MIA

Marlins' Lake Bachar: Serving as opener Monday

Bachar will serve as the Marlins' opening pitcher for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Bachar has tossed more than three innings in any of his 46 appearances between the majors and minors this season and hasn't covered more than two frames since the All-Star break, so he'll likely be in line to face just a handful of batters before exiting his first career MLB start. The Marlins are likely to treat Monday's contest as a bullpen day and will rely on a cadre of relievers to fill innings once Bachar is removed from the game.

  • Nick Sandlin RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Nick Sandlin: Moved to 60-day IL

The Blue Jays transferred Sandlin (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

This move doesn't affect Sandlin's timeline for a return, as he had been on the shelf since July 8. His throwing program has been paused multiple times during his ramp-up from right elbow inflammation, and he recently got an anti-inflammatory injection. Sandlin is expected to resume throwing once the shot takes full effect.

  • Dillon Tate RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Dillon Tate: Selected to roster

The Blue Jays selected Tate's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.

Tate was up in the majors earlier this season, yielding three runs with a 7:6 K:BB over 5.1 innings. He'll operate in middle relief down the stretch.

  • Zak Kent RP | CLE

Guardians' Zak Kent: Summoned from Triple-A

The Guardians recalled Kent from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.

Kent will be up with the Guardians for the sixth time this season, though he made just four relief appearances over his previous five stints in the majors and gave up five earned runs across 7.1 innings. He'll likely see most of his usage in lower-leverage spots during the final month of the season.

  • Noah Davis RP | MIN

Twins' Noah Davis: Rejoins big-league bullpen

The Twins recalled Davis from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Davis has made seven appearances in the majors this season between the Dodgers and Twins, getting bludgeoned for 19 runs (18 earned) over nine innings. He'll provide Minnesota with a fresh bullpen arm but is unlikely to be used in high-leverage spots.

  • Travis Adams RP | MIN

Twins' Travis Adams: Moves up from Triple-A

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Adams will give the Twins some length in the bullpen during the final month of the season. The righty holds a 7.71 ERA and 21:12 K:BB over 23.1 innings covering two starts and six relief appearances in the majors in 2025.
