Jacob Webb RP | CHC
Braves' Jacob Webb: Recalled by Atlanta
Webb was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Webb was sent to the minors in late June, and he allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out nine in 4.2 innings across four relief appearances during his most recent stint at Triple-A Gwinnett. The right-hander should reclaim a low-leverage role in Atlanta's bullpen after he posted a 5.29 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 17 innings across 17 relief appearances in the big leagues earlier in the season. Pablo Sandoval was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Giovanny Gallegos RP | LAD
Cardinals' Giovanny Gallegos: Gets 13th hold
Gallegos secured his 13th hold in a win over the Giants on Monday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run while recording three strikeouts over one inning.
Gallegos' frame wasn't completely smooth, as he was touched up by Alex Dickerson for a 382-foot round tripper. However, the right-hander turned up the dial on his swing-and-miss stuff, striking out the side to get out of the inning without further damage. While the punchouts were certainly impressive, Gallegos has now allowed five earned runs over the last three appearances, his rockiest stretch of the campaign.

Jake Reed RP | LAD
Dodgers' Jake Reed: Contract selected by Dodgers
Reed's contract was selected by the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Reed spent parts of the last five seasons at the Triple-A level, but he'll now be available to make his major-league debut after Steven Souza was designated for assignment Tuesday. The right-hander signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers in early June after he was released by the Angels, and he posted a 2.61 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 10.1 innings across nine relief appearances at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He should pitch mainly in low-leverage situations for the Dodgers.

Jordan Yamamoto RP | LAD
Mets' Jordan Yamamoto: Return not imminent
Mets acting general manager Zack Scott said Monday that Yamamoto (shoulder) remains "weeks away" from a return, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Yamamoto isn't believed to have initiated a throwing program since he was placed on the injured list May 25 with right shoulder soreness, so he'll realistically need at least a month to build up before returning. Scott noted that the Mets remain hopeful Yamamoto will make it back from the IL later this season, but the 25-year-old likely won't have a spot in the big-league rotation waiting for him once he gets a clean bill of health.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mets' Edwin Diaz: Notches 18th save
Diaz gave up a run on two hits and a walk while striking out two in the ninth inning Monday, recording his 18th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Brewers.
The right-hander came out of the bullpen flat as the first three Milwaukee batters reached base against him, but following a mound visit Diaz regained his swagger, fanning Jace Peterson and Keston Hiura before Jackie Bradley flied out to end the game. Diaz has been scored upon in three of his last six appearances, but he hasn't blown a save since June 1. On the season, the 27-year-old closer has a 3.03 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB through 32.2 innings.

Wander Suero RP | ATH
Nationals' Wander Suero: Wins first game of 2021
Suero (1-2) picked up the win Monday over the Padres after throwing a shutout inning of relief and striking out two batters.
Suero struck out Jake Cronenworth and Wil Myers during a seamless sixth inning. The Nationals took the lead thanks to a homer off the bat of Josh Bell in the top of the seventh and held on for the victory, which left Suero with his first win of the year. The 29-year-old owns a 3.70 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB over 24.1 innings.

Brad Hand RP | ATL
Nationals' Brad Hand: Secures 19th save
Hand pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning while recording a strikeout to pick up his 19th save of the year in a 7-5 win over the Padres on Monday.
Hand needed just 13 pitches to get through the heart of the Padres' order, and he struck out Wil Myers to end the game. The 31-year-old has now converted 16 straight save chances, and he's posted an excellent 2.43 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 37 innings this season.

Tim Hill RP | NYY
Padres' Tim Hill: Stuck with loss Monday
Hill (5-4) took the loss Monday against the Nationals after allowing one run on one hit while striking out a batter over an inning.
Hil entered to begin the seventh trying to hold a 5-5 tie and was unable to do so. Josh Bell took him yard on the first pitch he saw to put the Nationals back out in front 6-5, and they never looked back. The long ball was the first Hill's given up since May 31. He now sits at a 2.65 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB over 34 innings.
-
Anthony Bender RP | MIA
Marlins' Anthony Bender: Secures first career save
Bender recorded a strikeout and didn't allow a hit or a walk during a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Monday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers.
Justin Turner reached via an error to open the frame, but Bender retired the next three batters with little fanfare to close out the victory. The right-hander notched the first save of his MLB career as closer Yimi Garcia pitched each of the past two days and surrendered four runs during Sunday's outing. Bender has a 0.68 ERA and 34:7 K:BB with five holds across 26.1 innings as he's putting together an impressive rookie campaign.

Jeff Hoffman RP | TOR
Reds' Jeff Hoffman: Making fourth rehab start
Hoffman (shoulder) will make a fourth rehab start with Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Hoffman has gone 10 innings without allowing an earned run during his rehab assignment. Despite the good results, the Reds don't seem to be in a hurry to bring him back or decide whether he'll start or relieve when he does return. They're also getting Michael Lorenzen back soon and have gotten good work out of Vladimir Gutierrez, which might explain their lack of urgency.
