Zach Putnam RP | BOS
White Sox's Zach Putnam: Lands on disabled list Tuesday
Putnam (elbow) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.
Putnam battled through some elbow soreness earlier in the month, and the White Sox have now announced that he has ulnar neuritis in his pitching elbow. The White Sox recalled Chris Beck from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move Tuesday to add another arm out of the pen.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Could see spot start in Saturday double-header
Andriese, who's made his last two appearances in relief, could see a spot start in Saturday's doubleheader in Baltimore, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 26-year-old was reassigned to the bullpen shortly after his June 10 start to make room for 23-year-old phenom Blake Snell in the rotation, but could find himself in a familiar role come Saturday. Andriese has been effective in his pair of relief appearances, firing 3.2 scoreless innings of one-hit ball while striking out three. He was effective over seven starts as well, generating a solid 2.82 ERA and 5-0 record. The right-hander had three relief stints against the Orioles last season, giving up five hits and four earned runs over three innings, with much of that damage coming in an Aug. 31 appearance.

Ryan Webb RP | SF
Rays' Ryan Webb: Successful in third rehab appearance Monday
Webb (pectoral) could be activated "in the next few days" after a successful rehab appearance Monday for Triple-A Durham, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 30-year-old fired a clean inning while striking out two, setting the stage for a possible return to the big league club later in the week. Webb's Monday outing was the best of the three he's had during the rehab process, as he'd given up an earned run in each of the first two trips to the mound for the Bulls. He's generated a solid 3.31 ERA over 16.1 innings for the Rays this season, with no holds or saves to his credit.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Takes loss in extras against White Sox
Kimbrel (0-3) took the loss after allowing two runs on two hits and a walk with one strikeout while lasting just 0.2 innings in the top of the tenth against the White Sox.
Kimbrel just didn't have it going, giving up a Jose Abreu two-run double that ultimately won the game for Chicago. Despite an ugly 0-3 record, he has generally been his usual self with a 2.57 ERA and minuscule 0.79 WHIP.

David Robertson RP | PHI
White Sox's David Robertson: Nails down 17th save
Robertson allowed one hit while striking out two to work a scoreless tenth inning in Boston for his 17th save.
Robetson rebounded nicely from his first loss of the season last time out. The former Yankee is now in sole possession of fifth place in the American League with 17 saves.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Orioles' Hunter Harvey: Plans to throw bullpen session
Harvey will throw a live bullpen session Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
This will be Harvey's first bullpen session since he underwent a sports hernia surgery in early May. Harvey has been battling injuries for quite some time and hasn't started a game since April of 2014. Due to his injury-prone nature, the club will likely take their time with easing him back into throwing.

Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Transfers rehab to Lowell
Johnson (personal) has transferred his rehab to Lowell, Boston's Class-A short season affiliate, Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports.
Johnson remains on the temporary inactive list due to an anxiety issue, and it's unclear when he'll return to Triple-A. The Red Sox will likely bring him along slowly, though.

Joe Jimenez RP | ATL
Tigers' Joe Jimenez: Hasn't allowed an earned run in 2016
Jimenez has 41 strikeouts in 24.1 innings between High-A Lakeland and Double-A Erie. He hasn't allowed an earned run this season.
Jimenez's dominant start to 2016 has just continued in Double-A, where he has three saves, 0.71 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in seven innings. It's only a matter of time for Jimenez to get a look with the Tigers.

Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Rays' Brad Boxberger: Scheduled to play catch Monday
Boxberger (oblique) is scheduled to play catch Monday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
It will mark Boxberger's first activity since May 31, when he aggravated his oblique injury and landed back on the disabled list. Boxberger's four-to-eight week recovery timetable means he probably won't be back until around the All-Star break, however, but the fact that he's throwing again suggests he's making sound progress.

Drew VerHagen RP | STL
Tigers' Drew VerHagen: Transferred to 60-day DL on Monday
VerHagen (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Monday.
VerHagen will miss a significant amount of time due to his shoulder injury, and is looking at a return sometime in August barring any set backs. The 25-year-old has struggled all season, posting an awful 7.11 ERA with a 1.84 WHIP in 19 appearances.
