  • Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC

Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Wins first game with Sox

Pomeranz (1-2) earned the win Monday afternoon by holding the Indians to two runs over 7.2 innings. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out six.

On the whole, Pomeranz hasn't been as dominant with the Red Sox as he was with the Padres, but has gotten on track this month. In three August starts, Pomeranz has allowed a total of five earned runs, although his nine walks are already more than he surrendered in all of July. He'll make his next start Saturday against Detroit.

  • Dylan Floro RP | ARI

Rays' Dylan Floro: Optioned to Durham

Floro was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Floro has been less than stellar out of the bullpen since being recalled in early July, posting a 4.20 ERA and 1.87 WHIP across 15 innings. The 25-year-old will now return to Triple-A with the Rays in need of a spot on the 25-man roster after activating Logan Morrison on Monday.

  • Ken Giles RP | ATL

Astros' Ken Giles: Activated from paternity list

The Astros activated Giles from the paternity list Monday, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart reports.

Giles was excused from the Astros' weekend series with the Blue Jays following the birth of his child, but he has returned to the team and will be back on the active roster moving forward. Expect Giles to step back into the closer's role that he inherited earlier this month.

  • Tony Zych RP | NYY

Mariners' Tony Zych: Rehab transferred to Double-A

Zych (shoulder) had his rehab assignment transferred to Double-A Jackson on Monday, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Zych had been rehabbing in the Arizona Rookie League, but he'll now progress to Double-A as he nears a return to the big league club. The Mariners have not offered much in the way of a firm return timetable, but Zych looks to be on track to be back with Seattle sometime later this month.

  • Chad Green RP | TOR

Yankees' Chad Green: Officially recalled to start

Green was officially recalled from Triple-A to start Monday's matchup against the Blue Jays.

Green will fill the spot of Luis Severino, who was optioned to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's start. The right-hander has appeared in eight games for the Yankees on the season, amassing a 4.94 ERA and 1.46 WHIP across 27.1 cumulative innings.

  • Zach Neal RP | ATH

Athletics' Zach Neal: Hit hard Sunday in loss to Mariners

Neal was hit hard in Sunday's loss to the Mariners, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He struck out one.

Seattle got to Neal early and often, plating runs in the second, third and fourth innings before chasing him from the game amid a four-run rally in the sixth. Neal had come out of the bullpen until this month and had been scored upon just twice in his previous 17.1 innings heading into Sunday, but he appeared over-matched against a talented offense and failed to throw strikes with regularity. He will have the opportunity to right the ship Saturday against the White Sox.

  • Michael Fulmer RP | NYY

Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Fires four-hit shutout Sunday

Fulmer (10-3) fired a four-hit shutout while striking out nine Sunday against the Rangers.

Fulmer had a 3.97 ERA through May, but he's been money ever since, and he's lowered his ERA to 2.25 by holding opponents to one or fewer earned runs in nine starts since that time. If he can continue his dominance, he'll help plenty of teams win fantasy championships this season. He'll make his next start Friday against the Red Sox.

  • Twins' Hector Santiago: Bombed for seven runs Sunday

Santiago (10-7) allowed seven runs on nine hits while striking out two over four innings to take the loss Sunday against the Royals.

Santiago has struggled mightily since joining the Twins, as he's allowed 15 earned runs in 14.1 innings over three starts to raise his ERA from 4.25 to 4.80 on the year. He currently owns the highest ERA of any season in his six-year career. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Royals.

  • Chad Green RP | TOR

Yankees' Chad Green: Confirmed starter Sunday

Green will start Monday's series opener against the Blue Jays, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.

Green will take Luis Severino's (optioned following Sunday's start) spot on the 25-man roster to make Monday's start for the Yankees but he's struggled on the mound, allowing three earned runs on eight hits and four walks over just 3.2 in his start Aug. 3 against the Mets. He should officially be recalled at some point before Monday's contest.

  • Tyler Duffey RP | KC

Twins' Tyler Duffey: Second consecutive quality outing

Duffey gave up two runs over seven innings with six strikeouts and one walk as he improved to 8-8 in Saturday's win over Kansas City.

After nearly losing his spot in the rotation, Duffey has bounced back the last two starts with three earned runs in 13 innings with 14 strikeouts. He's only given up one home run in his last two starts, which has been his nemesis as he's allowed 1.6 HR/9.
