Carlos Ramirez RP | CHC
Blue Jays' Carlos Ramirez: Arrives in majors
The Blue Jays selected Ramirez's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.
The converted position player did not allow a run across 37.2 innings combined with Double-A New Hampshire and the Bisons, over which he struck out 45 and walked only 10. Ramirez may have a future as a high-leverage reliever, and his strikeout ability may make him useful in AL-only leagues for the season's final month.

Kyle Crockett RP | CIN
Indians' Kyle Crockett: Recalled from Triple-A
The Indians recalled Crockett from Triple-A Columbus on Friday.
Over 48 relief innings for the Clippers, Crockett has impressed, with a 3.38 ERA, 9.2 K/9 and 2.1 BB/9. He won't be counted on for many high-leverage spots but has the strikeout ability to earn the occasional hold, especially if Cleveland wants to rest its major pieces with rosters expanded.

Ryne Stanek RP | STL
Rays' Ryne Stanek: Expected to be called up Friday
Stanek is expected to be called up from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The hard-throwing 2013 first-round pick generated an unsightly 6.39 ERA over 13 appearances with the Rays in two previous stints this season, but he's been dominant with the Bulls. Stanek has allowed just two earned runs in his past 23 appearances in Durham and has posted a 1.21 ERA overall. He's also notched eight saves in as many opportunities and will serve as another late-inning option for manager Kevin Cash during the stretch run.

Adam Kolarek RP | LAA
Rays' Adam Kolarek: Expected to be called up Friday
Kolarek is expected to be called up from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Kolarek had a rocky introduction to the big leagues earlier this season, generating a 5.87 ERA over 11 appearances with the Rays. The 28-year-old has been outstanding with the Bulls, however, as evidenced by a 1.65 ERA and 46:16 K:BB over 43.1 innings. He'll give manager Kevin Cash another left-handed option out of the bullpen during the Rays' playoff push.

Jimmy Yacabonis RP | NYM
Orioles' Jimmy Yacabonis: Joining Orioles on Friday
Yacabonis will be recalled by the Orioles on Friday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The hard-throwing righty will be part of Baltimore's round of September callups on Friday after the minor-league season came to a close. Yacabonis averages 95.4 miles per hour on his fastball, but he struggled to miss bats during his stint with the Orioles earlier in the season with a meager 4.5 K/9 rate along with a 1.4 HR/9 rate. He figures to slot into a low-leverage role once he arrives in Baltimore.

Anthony Bass RP | TOR
Rangers' Anthony Bass: DFA'd Thursday
Bass was designated for assignment Thursday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The Rangers needed to clear a spot on the 40-man for Miguel Gonzalez, whom they acquired in a deadline deal Thursday. Bass was the casualty and will now be subjected to waivers before potentially returning to the Rangers' organization. Over 75.1 innings at Triple-A Round Rock this season, Bass posted a 4.18 ERA and 1.42 WHIP.

Chris Devenski RP | NYM
Astros' Chris Devenski: Collects seventh win
Devenski (7-3) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings during Thursday's win over the Rangers.
After a little bit of a rough patch, Devenski has now allowed just one earned run through 11.2 innings over his past 13 appearances. With a 2.57 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 11.2 K/9 for the season, he's proven to be a valuable reliever in the majority of fantasy settings.

Ken Giles RP | ATL
Astros' Ken Giles: Earns six-out save
Giles pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts to record his 27th save of the season during Thursday's win over Texas.
There have been some peaks and valleys along the way, but Giles sports a 2.44 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 11.9 K/9 to go along with his 27 saves. Those are rock-solid numbers in all fantasy settings, and there's no reason to expect the 26-year-old righty to slow down moving forward.

Matt Belisle RP | CLE
Twins' Matt Belisle: Grabs first win of 2017
Belisle (1-2) was the pitcher of record when the Twins completed a come-from-behind victory over the White Sox on Thursday.
Belisle had allowed a go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth frame, so his offense bailed him out in the bottom half of the inning. It's also worth noting that he struck out three batters to improve his K/9 to 8.7 for the campaign. The 37-year-old righty has converted five of six save opportunities since taking over the closer job earlier this month, and remains a valuable fantasy asset as long as he's handling the ninth inning for Minnesota.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Lasts just 4.2 against Rangers
McHugh allowed a single unearned run on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters through 4.2 innings during Thursday's win over Texas. He didn't factor into the decision.
It was a little surprising that McHugh wasn't left in the game to face Adrian Beltre with runners on second and third in the top of the fifth inning. However, he was already at 91 pitches and had just allowed a double to Nomar Mazara. It was the first time he failed to pitch into the sixth frame since his return outing from the disabled list July 22, and the 30-year-old righty now sports a 3.25 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 8.5 K/9 for the campaign. Even with Thursday's brief outing in mind, McHugh remains a strong option in the majority of fantasy settings. He projects to face the Mariners at Safeco Field in his next start.
