King (elbow) threw a rehab inning for the Yankees' Gulf Coast League affiliate Wednesday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

This was King's first competitive inning all season, as he's been battling elbow issues since the start of spring training. He reached Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre late last season for six strong starts, posting a 1.15 ERA and a 0.67 OPS. He could still feature in New York at some point late in the second half, though the Yankees may take things slowly due to his lost development time so far this season.

Banda (elbow), who most recently allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over 1.1 innings while recording three strikeouts in an appearance for the Gulf Coast League Rays on Tuesday, owns a 3.60 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and .318 BAA over five innings across his first four rehab starts.

The southpaw is in the final stages of his recovery from his May 2018 Tommy John surgery, and he's being brought along slowly. Banda hasn't pitched more than 1.2 innings in any of his first four turns with the GCL squad, with the 25-year-old working up to a modest 21 pitches in Tuesday's outing. Given the deliberate pace of his rehab thus far, Banda is still likely looking at an August return at the earliest.

Alvarado (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

The move was expected, as Alvarado is in line to miss at least six weeks with an oblique strain. Expect Emilio Pagan and Diego Castillo (shoulder) to receive the bulk of the save chances for the Rays in his absence.

Borucki (elbow) will make a rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Borucki has been out all season with elbow issues. He's made a pair of rehab appearances in the low minors and looked excellent, striking out 10 and walking none while allowing just a single hit in seven scoreless innings. He's expected to throw five or six innings Thursday and likely isn't too far from returning to Toronto.

Adams cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.

Adams has thrown 16.2 innings for the Tigers this season, struggling to a 7.02 ERA and a 14:13 K:BB. He'll remain organizational depth for Detroit.

Pressly will be used in Tuesday night's All-Star Game only in an emergency, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pressly doesn't appear to be dealing with any type of injury, though the Astros do want to be sure their top reliever is ready to go when the second half of the season resumes Thursday against the Rangers. The right-hander earned himself an All-Star appearance by posting a sparkling 1.36 ERA and 0.78 WHIP with a 47:6 K:BB over 39.2 innings during the first half.

Manaea (shoulder) was charged with a loss in High-A Stockton's defeat at the hands of Visalia on Monday, allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits and a wild pitch over 2.1 innings. He struck out two.

Manaea's first taste of game action since September 2018 didn't exactly go smoothly. The recovering left-hander worked up to 43 pitches, 32 of which found the strike zone, and he was partly victimized by a pair of errors behind him. Manaea will look for better results in his next outing, which should also come with the Ports later in the week.

Hu was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Hu was booted from the 40-man roster Wednesday and went unclaimed while on the waiver wire, which is unsurprising considering his 7.95 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 48.2 innings at Triple-A this season.

King was sidelined just before the start of spring training with elbow discomfort and suffered a setback in April that has kept him sidelined, but he's finally set to make his return to competitive action with a one-inning appearance in the Gulf Coast League scheduled for Thursday. King started last season at High-A Tampa before making six starts for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he posted a 4-0 record and an excellent 1.15 ERA. Assuming he makes it through his rehab appearances without any setbacks, the 24-year-old right-hander said he's hoping to rejoin the RailRiders in the first week of August.

Alvarado (oblique) could miss 6-to-8 weeks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Alvarado left Saturday's game against the Yankees with a strained oblique. He said after the game that he expected to miss 2-to-6 weeks, depending on the results of an MRI. That was apparently overly optimistic, as he now has a 6-to-8 week timeline following the MRI and a doctor visit Sunday. Emilio Pagan and Diego Castillo (shoulder) will be the top ninth-inning options in his absence.
