Devenski's option was declined by the Astros on Monday, but he remains on the roster as he's still arbitration-eligible, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Devenski received a somewhat odd contract back in February, which gave the Astros the opportunity of locking him in for 2020 at a predetermined price or going back through the arbitration process. They'll choose the latter following his mediocre 4.83 ERA in 69 innings.

Chapman added an extra year to his contract Saturday to keep him with the Yankees through the 2022 season, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Chapman's previous deal included $15 million player options for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and he'll now receive those totals in addition to the $18 million for 2022. The veteran left-hander was again one of the top closers in baseball in 2019 with a 2.21 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 85:25 K:BB while converting 37 of 42 save opportunities. The season may have ended on a sour note with Jose Altuve's walkoff, two-run home in Game 6 of the ALCS, but Chapman should again be a reliable option for saves in 2020.

Mayers was claimed off waivers by the Angels on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Mayers was called up by the Cardinals in September, and he failed to find much success with the big-league club. He posted a 6.63 ERA and 1.68 WHIP with a 16:11 K:BB over 19 frames.

Biddle (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

Biddle missed the second half of 2019 with left shoulder fatigue after struggling with an 8.36 ERA and 2.29 WHIP over 28 major-league innings.

Fulmer (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Thursday.

The right-hander is expected to miss the first half of the 2020 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March, but will be on the 40-man roster to start the offseason. The recovery timeline for Fulmer's procedure is usually 12-to-18 months.

Scott cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old was inefficient in the majors last season, recording a 14.33 ERA with a 2.57 WHIP over 16.1 innings pitched between the Mariners and Orioles. He pitched well in limited action with Triple-A Norfolk in 2019, amassing a 0.56 ERA and a 21:3 K:BB over 16 innings.

Ortiz cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Ortiz made only one start in the majors in 2019, allowing four earned runs over 3.1 innings. He wasn't much more effective with Triple-A Norfolk, amassing a 6.38 ERA with a 47:31 K:BB over 66.1 innings pitched, and he now finds himself off the 40-man roster heading into 2020.

Eades cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Eades threw 11.1 innings for the Orioles in his big-league debut last season. He allowed just three runs, though his 10:6 K:BB wasn't particularly convincing.

The Blue Jays claimed Bass off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday.

Bass spent the 2019 season with the Mariners, posting a 3.56 ERA in 48 innings and saving five games. Ryan Dull was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.

Sadzeck (elbow) was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Sadzeck ended the season on the 60-day injured list after undergoing a non-surgical elbow procedure at the beginning of August. The Mariners also outrighted Chasen Bradford and Ryon Healy to make room on the 40-man roster.
