Andriese (1-2) was tagged with the loss against Seattle on Monday, throwing 1.2 innings and allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two.

Andriese came on in the fifth inning and retired the final two batters of the frame, but a Jose Marmolejos solo homer in the following inning was enough to saddle the right-hander with a loss in the low-scoring affair. Andriese had aspirations of starting to begin the season but has struggled throughout the campaign, posting a 6.41 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over 19.2 innings.

Foster (4-0) struck out two over a scoreless inning to earn the win over Minnesota on Monday.

Foster, who entered a tied game in the eighth inning, picked up his fourth win as a reliever with the assistance of Chicago's powerful offense, which plated three runs in the ninth. The 25-year-old right-hander has added a boost to the bullpen, recording a 1.13 ERA and 20 strikeouts over 16 innings.

Colome closed out Monday's 8-5 win over the Twins with a scoreless ninth inning and recorded the save. He walked one and struck out one.

Colome recorded his seventh save with the help of Chicago's offense that posted six runs from innings six through nine. He's allowed just one earned run over 13.1 innings.

Bummer's biceps muscle has healed, but he's now dealing with a nerve issue near the biceps, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

White Sox general manager Rick Hahn explained that this is not a long-term issue but acknowledged the possibility that Bummer may not return in the shortened 2020 season. "It really comes down to getting that nerve calmed down and then as we ramp him up, which we have started to do on a throwing program, how the nerve responds. It's quite possible, based on how the throwing program lays out, that you see us at some point put him on the 45-day IL," said Hahn. With Bummer sidelined, Evan Marshall has picked up a majority of the setup work in front of closer Alex Colome.

Barria allowed one run on five hits and two walks across 4.1 innings in Monday's 2-1 loss to Seattle. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Although Barria wasn't able to get out of the fifth inning Monday, he was still solid in his first start of the season. Barria has now allowed just four earned runs while striking out 11 through 13.2 innings this season. He is slated to get the ball Sunday against Houston. The right-hander allowed just one run in five relief innings against the Astros on Aug. 25.

Karinchak (0-2) allowed two runs on a hit and two walks while recording his only out via strikeout to take the loss Monday versus the Royals.

Karinchak entered Monday's contest with Cleveland ahead 1-0, but he walked the first two batters he faced. A Maikel Franco single spelled the end of Karinchak's outing, and reliever Adam Cimber allowed an inherited runner to score. Karinchak still has a solid 2.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 35:9 K:BB in 18 innings this year, but he's allowed three runs over his last two outings. The righty has five holds and a save in 17 appearances.

Barlow (2-1) allowed two hits and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the win Monday versus Cleveland.

Barlow became the pitcher of record when the Royals scored twice to take the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Greg Holland then handled the ninth inning to earn the save. Through 19.2 innings, Barlow has a 1.37 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 24 strikeouts. He could be in the closer conversation with Ian Kennedy (calf) out -- the 27-year-old Barlow has one save and three holds in 20 appearances this season. Barlow has recorded 7.2 consecutive scoreless innings, dating back to Aug. 15.

Valdez (1-0) picked up the win Monday against the Blue Jays, allowing one unearned run on two hits across two innings. He struck out one.

Valdez entered the game tied 2-2 in the 10th inning. After tossing a scoreless 10th, Valdez remained in the game after the Orioles took a 4-2 lead in the top of the 11th. A single scored Randal Grichuk, who began the inning on second base, but Lourdes Gurriel was thrown out at the plate on Rowdy Tellez's double to end the game.

Richards will start Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Although Richards was not announced as the starter for Tuesday's game until after Monday's win, he appeared to be the likely choice for some time. RIchards hasn't pitched over 4.1 innings in an outing this year due to a lack of being stretched out, but an efficient outing could certainly get him through five frames.

Akin allowed two unearned runs on three hits and two walks across 4.1 innings in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays. He struck out six.

As expected, Akin was on a pitch count Monday and was only allowed to throw 81 pitches. Nonetheless, the rookie was solid in his first career start, fanning six while not allowing an earned run. Akin will look to qualify for the win when he toes the rubber Saturday against the Yankees.
