Ramirez earned the save against Texas on Saturday, pitching one inning and allowing one run on one hit while striking out one.

A day after regular closer Yoshihisa Hirano allowed two runs and threw 30 pitches, Ramirez was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the final frame Saturday. The right-hander gave up a solo home run to Shin-Soo Choo but was otherwise up to the task, needing 19 pitches to close out the victory. Ramirez has been one of Seattle's most effective relievers this season, posting a 3.21 ERA and 14.1 K/9 over 14 innings.

Hernandez (5-1) took the loss against Seattle on Saturday, pitching 1.1 innings and allowing three runs on four hits. He did not register a strikeout or a walk.

Hernandez entered a tie game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and retired the final batter of the frame on a flyout. However, he was far less effective in the eighth, giving up three runs on three singles, a double and a hit batsman before recording his first out of the inning. Hernandez entered the contest with a sparkling 1.77 ERA but saw it swell to 2.91 after the rough outing.

Balazovic was added to the 60-man roster and assigned to the team's alternate training site in St. Paul, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

It was somewhat of a surprise that Balazovic was not included in the 60-man player pool ahead of summer camp since he was regarded as one of Minnesota's top pitching prospects. While he's unlikely to be called up to the majors, this will at least get him some work with the Twins coaching staff, which could improve his position for next season.

Rodriguez left Saturday's game against the Mariners with a left hamstring strain.

Rodriguez kept the opponent off the scoreboard for the 10th time in 12 appearances this season, but he also saw his outing cut short by his injury. He will undergo more tests Sunday to determine how long he will be sidelined.

Bass (2-3) allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and a walk while recording just one out in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Bass entered with a one-run lead in the ninth inning but gave up a leadoff homer to Xander Bogaerts to tie the game. Bass then walked J.D. Martinez before Christian Vazquez reached on a fielder's choice. Vazquez would cause Bass problems, as the Red Sox catcher stole second and reached third on a throwing error by Blue Jays catcher Caleb Joseph. The collapse was complete when Vazquez scored on a Yairo Munoz fielder's choice. It was Bass's second blown save of the year. He now has a 2.79 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 19.1 innings. The 32-year-old will likely continue as the closer in the near term, but Ken Giles (forearm) will likely assume ninth-inning duties when he returns.

Weber allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Saturday.

The runs against Weber came on a Teoscar Hernandez solo shot in the second inning and a fourth-inning Travis Shaw double. Weber now has a 5.45 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 33 innings this season. It's unclear if the right-hander will get another turn in the rotation.

Tate (1-0) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing a walk and striking out two to earn the win Saturday versus the Yankees.

Tate relieved starter Keegan Akin with one out in the sixth inning. In the bottom of the sixth, the Orioles' offense sparked to life with a five-run rally, and that put Tate in line for his first major-league win. The right-hander has a 2.45 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB across 11 innings this season. He's allowed just two walks over 4.2 scoreless innings in his last three appearances.

Akin pitched 5.1 scoreless innings versus the Yankees on Saturday, allowing three hits and four walks while striking out eight. He did not factor in the decision.

Akin threw 91 pitches (57 strikes) in Saturday's game while locked in a pitchers' duel with Gerrit Cole. Unfortunately for Akin, the Orioles' bats didn't come alive until he was out of the game. He lowered his ERA to 2.08 with a 1.15 WHIP and 15 strikeouts across four appearances (two starts) spanning 13 innings. The 25-year-old lines up for a rematch with the Yankees on Friday in his next start.

Cisnero (1-2) allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk to blow the save and take the loss Saturday against the Twins,

Cisnero started the ninth inning by allowing a walk and a single, putting himself in trouble right away. A Miguel Sano single with one out tied the game at 3-3. Cisnero retired the next batter, but then Byron Buxton hustled out an infield single to bring home the winning run and saddle Cisnero with his first blown save of the season. The 31-year-old still has a solid 2.21 ERA, so he should continue to see some save opportunities, but the Tigers may also turn to Gregory Soto and Buck Farmer depending on matchups, making the Detroit closer situation murky at the moment.

Leclerc (shoulder) was ruled out for the season Saturday, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

Leclerc had at best an outside chance of returning very late in the year when he was placed on the 45-day injured list with a strained shoulder in late July, and manager Chris Woodward officially ended his chances Sunday. The injury will give the righty plenty of risk heading into the 2021 campaign, though he'll still have the potential to fill a high-leverage role if he's healthy and effective.
