Fairbanks (4-3) took the loss in a defeat at the hands of the Red Sox on Sunday, allowing an earned run on a hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.

Fairbanks was tasked with preserving a 3-2 lead when he entered the game with a man on in the fifth, but he ultimately allowed an RBI double to Rafael Devers and a run-scoring groundout to J.D. Martinez. Only the latter run went on Fairbanks' ledger, but it was enough to saddle him with the loss when the Rays were unable to mount a comeback the rest of the way. Fairbanks has put together extended stretches of effective performances in what has been a busy season, but he's now uncharacteristically allowed a pair of earned runs over his last three appearances.

Barnes tossed one scoreless inning Sunday as he earned the save against the Rays. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out two.

Barnes has now strung together two consecutive dominant outings, and he's earned saves in each of those appearances. He entered with a three-run lead Sunday and allowed a single to start the ninth inning, but he racked up two strikeouts over the frame en route to his sixth save of the year.

Chapman fired one scoreless inning Sunday as he earned the save against the Orioles. He allowed no baserunners while striking out two.

Although he was pitching on a second consecutive day, Chapman remained effective with another scoreless outing. The hard-throwing southpaw now carries a 4.50 ERA over eight innings during his abbreviated 2020 season. Chapman's appeal of a three-game suspension that he received earlier this month is expected to be heard Monday, so it's possible that he could see limited work over the coming week.

Andriese picked up the save against the Rockies on Sunday, striking out four across two scoreless innings. He did not allow a baserunner.

After Andriese picked up his first save of the campaign in Saturday's win, manager Joe Maddon didn't hesitate to go right back to the right-hander Sunday. Andriese logged two clean innings, striking out four Rockies while not allowing a baserunner. Though Ty Buttrey and Felix Pena have received the bulk of save opportunities in recent weeks, it would not be surprising to see Andriese get another shot to close going forward.

Lopez will start Monday's series opener against the Braves, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

After turning in a 5.02 ERA through his first three starts with Baltimore and with Alex Cobb having returned from the injured list over the weekend, Lopez looked as though he might be at risk of losing his spot in the rotation. With a doubleheader on tap Thursday versus the Rays, however, Baltimore will likely run a six-man rotation this week that will evidently include Lopez. The right-hander may need a quality showing versus Atlanta to earn himself an additional start or two before the regular season concludes.

Stiever allowed one run on two hits and two walks over 3.2 innings Sunday, striking out three in the win over Detroit. He did not factor in the decision.

Stiever loaded the bases in the first inning but escaped after allowing just one run. He left the game in a 1-1 tie before the White Sox pulled away in the middle innings. It's unclear if the 23-year-old will get another chance in the rotation or be sent back to the alternate training site.

Colome tossed a perfect ninth inning and earned the save in Sunday's win over Detroit.

After Steve Cishek allowed two hits without recording an out in the ninth, Colome needed just 11 pitches to retire the next three batters in order and secure the victory. The 31-year-old righty has converted 11 of 12 save chances and owns a terrific 1.02 ERA this season.

May was removed from Sunday's win against Cleveland as a precautionary measure due to mild cramps in his back, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

May threw 17 pitches Sunday, but he was removed in the top of the sixth inning due to his injury. However, it's unlikely that he'll miss significant time as his removal was labeled as precautionary. The right-hander carries a 5.00 ERA and 28:4 K:BB over 18 innings this season.

Yarbrough will serve as the primary pitcher Tuesday against the Nationals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The left-hander returned from the injured list last week and surrendered four runs over 2.2 innings during his first start back, and he'll follow opener John Curtiss his next time out. Yarbrough regularly worked as a primary pitcher in 2019, but up until now he'd been working exclusively as a traditional starter this season. He has a 4.31 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 39.2 innings.

Curtiss will serve as the opener Tuesday against the Nationals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 27-year-old will open for the second time this season, with Ryan Yarbrough following in the bulk role. Curtiss hasn't allowed an earned run over his past 10 innings and has a 1.53 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 18:2 K:BB across 17.2 frames this season.
