Hernandez is slated to start Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Hernandez will be back on the mound for the first time since Sept. 12, when he gave up three runs -- all on solo home runs -- over three innings in his first MLB start. With Kansas City recently demoting Jakob Junis to the alternate site, Hernandez looks poised to remain in the rotation for the final week of the season. After Monday's outing, Hernandez will line up for another start Saturday versus Detroit.

Fleming is slated to serve as the Rays' bulk reliever behind opener Pete Fairbanks in Monday's game against the Mets.

After Fleming gave up four home runs between his previous two starts earlier this month, the Rays opted to have him work behind an opener in his most recent outing Sept. 16 against the Nationals. The experiment paid off, as Fleming tossed 3.2 scoreless frames while allowing only two hitters to reach base. Rays manager Kevin Cash will unsurprisingly choose to deploy Fleming as a primary pitcher once again, an arrangement that will likely lower the lefty's innings count but perhaps increase his chances of factoring into any decision.

Trivino, who allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks while recording two strikeouts over one inning in a loss to the Giants on Sunday, was dealing an upper-leg bruise he sustained on a line drive in Saturday's appearance, the Associated Press reports.

The right-hander was able to produce his second straight scoreless appearance in Saturday's win over San Francisco, but he didn't come out of his one frame unscathed. Trivino tested himself out with some pregame throwing Sunday and was apparently deemed healthy enough to be available out of the bullpen later in the day, although any discomfort he may have still been feeling could have been partly to blame for his uneven performance.

Bass was perfect across 1.1 innings Sunday, striking out one and earning the save against the Phillies.

Bass came into the contest with two on and two out in the eighth inning and escaped the danger with a one-pitch groundout against Jay Bruce. He then needed just 13 pitches to quickly retire the top of the Phillies lineup in the ninth to earn his sixth save of the season. Bass is sporting a 3.42 ERA and 19:6 K:BB over 23.2 innings.

Pressly struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Sunday, earning a save in the win over the Diamondbacks.

Pressly made quick work of Arizona's 4-5-6 hitters Sunday, needing just 14 pitches to slam the door and preserve the 3-2 victory. He's now converted his last six save chances, making him 12-for-15 this season.

Garcia (2-2) allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out two over three innings as he was charged with the loss Sunday against the Red Sox.

Garcia had picked up wins in each of his past two starts, but he was far less effective at Fenway Park on Sunday. Better days are certainly ahead for the 21-year-old, who now carries a 4.88 ERA and 26:5 K:BB over 27.2 innings during his first five major-league starts. Manager Aaron Boone was confident that Garcia would pitch at least once more prior to the end of the regular season, and he could take the mound at home Friday against the Marlins.

Valdez fired one scoreless inning Sunday as he earned the save against the Rays. He allowed no hits and no walks while striking out zero.

Valdez came on to preserve the Orioles' one-run lead in the ninth inning Sunday, and he picked up his second career save as he held the Rays in check. The right-hander was charged with a loss in his last appearance, but he's been mainly effective this season as he now carries a 1.35 ERA and 0.75 WHIP over 13.1 innings in 2020.

Yarbrough (1-4) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven innings Sunday as he was charged with the loss against the Orioles.

Yarbrough gave up two runs in the first inning Sunday, but he settled down and finished his outing with six scoreless frames. Unfortunately, the two runs proved to be the difference in the game as the Orioles' pitching staff put forth a dominant showing. The southpaw now has a 3.78 ERA and 40:12 K:BB over 52.1 innings after racking up a season-high eight strikeouts Sunday. Yarbrough should make his final start of the regular season at home Saturday against the Phillies.

Pivetta will start Tuesday's game against the Orioles, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Pivetta will debut with the Red Sox at home Tuesday after getting off to a rough start with the Phillies this season. The right-hander made three relief appearances earlier in the year, recording a 15.88 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 5.2 innings. Pivetta's strikeout rate has dropped over the past two seasons, and he hasn't thrown more than 44 pitches in any of his outings in 2020.

Fairbanks will start Monday's game against the Mets, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old has opened one contest this season and will do so again in Monday's series finale. Fairbanks has a 2.74 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 33:12 K:BB over 23 innings and doesn't figure to throw much more than an inning. Josh Fleming is the likely candidate to follow as the primary pitcher.
