Heller was placed on the 45-day injured list with a right biceps nerve injury Tuesday.

Heller was sent to the Yankees' alternate training site at the beginning of September, but he apparently suffered an injury and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. It's unclear whether the right-hander will be ready for spring training in 2021.

King was optioned to the Yankees' alternate training site Tuesday.

King was charged with his second loss of the season Monday as he only lasted 2.2 innings against the Blue Jays, and he'll be cast off the active roster as a result. It's unclear who could take King's spot in the rotation for the final game of the regular season Sunday.

Pivetta was recalled by the Red Sox ahead of his start Tuesday against the Orioles.

Pivetta will make his debut with the Red Sox on Tuesday while also making his first start of 2020. The right-hander struggled during game action out of the bullpen with the Phillies earlier this year, but he's impressed at the Red Sox's alternate training site. If he impresses Tuesday, he could pitch in the team's season finale against Atlanta on Sunday as well.

Tate was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right finger sprain, retroactive to Monday.

Tate pitched relatively well in 2020 while working mainly as a low-leverage reliever for Baltimore as he posted a 3.24 ERA and 0.84 WHIP over 16.2 innings. However, he'll miss the remainder of the regular season due to his finger injury. The right-hander should be ready for spring training in 2021 after his promising 2020 campaign.

Armstrong (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Armstrong went through a throwing program for nearly two weeks, and he showed enough progress for the Orioles to activate him for the final several games of the regular season. The right-hander carries a 2.19 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB over 12.1 innings during 11 appearances this year.

The Rays optioned Richards to their alternate training site Friday.

Tampa Bay needed to reduce its active roster to 28 men ahead of the weekend, so Richards was sent packing after he served as the 29th man during Thursday's doubleheader with the Orioles. He started the second game of the twin bill, taking a no-decision while working 3.1 innings and giving up four runs on five hits and two walks.

Fleming (4-0) was credited with the win in a victory over the Mets on Monday, allowing an earned run on three hits and a walk over three innings while recording two strikeouts. He also hit a batter.

The southpaw functioned as the bulk reliever Monday, following opener Pete Fairbanks and Ryan Thompson, who covered the first 2.2 innings between them. Fleming threw 22 of 32 pitches for strikes, and although he allowed the Mets' only run of the night in the form of a Jeff McNeil infield single, he was credited with the win when a trio of his bullpen mates subsequently kept New York off the scoreboard. Fleming had a rough start to September, allowing seven earned runs on 13 hits and two walks across 9.1 innings to the Marlins and Red Sox, but he's bounced back to yield just Monday's run over the 6.2 frames encompassing his last two trips to the mound.

Hernandez allowed one run on four hits and three walks over 3.2 innings Monday, striking out four in the win over St. Louis. He did not factor in the decision.

Hernandez wasn't too efficient Monday, throwing just 40 of 72 pitches for strikes. However, the only real blemish on his line was a solo homer hit by Matt Carpenter in the second inning. Hernandez lowered his season ERA to 3.46 in 13 innings this season. He's slated to make his final start of the season at home against Detroit this weekend.

King (1-2) took the loss Monday against Toronto, allowing five runs on five hits and a walk across 2.2 innings. He struck out six.

King was sharp through two innings, striking out four Jays while allowing just one hit. He ran into trouble in the third, however, allowing four hits and a walk before getting removed with two outs. He left trailing 3-1, but was charged with two additional runs when Vladimir Guerrero belted a two-run double off Jonathan Loaisiga. The shaky outing brought the right-hander's ERA to an ugly 7.76 on the season. If he's given another start, it will likely come in the regular-season finale against Miami on Sunday.

Fairbanks tossed 1.2 scoreless innings Monday, striking out two and issuing one walk in the win over the Mets. He did not factor in the decision.

After walking the first batter he faced, Fairbanks recorded five straight outs, needing just 25 pitches to roll through 1.2 innings. He lowered his season ERA to 2.55 in 24.2 innings. With the season winding down, Fairbanks could move to a standard bullpen role rather than an opener down the stretch.
