Pivetta allowed six runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings Tuesday against the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.

Pivetta had a brutal outing after tossing 6.2 no-hit innings last week against the Rays. He allowed a season-high nine base hits and has surrendered eight homers over his last four starts after giving up just five in his first 12 outings of the year. He was taken deep in the first, fourth and fifth innings and also allowed an RBI single in the second. Pivetta now owns a 4.43 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 99:40 K:BB over 85.1 innings. He's become very unpredictable and lines up for an unfavorable matchup against the Athletics over the weekend.

Brentz (2-1) allowed one run on one hit and a walk while striking out three over an inning to pick up the loss against the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Brentz relieved Brad Keller in the sixth and tried to protect a one-run lead with nobody out and a man on first. He struck out and walked a batter before J.D. Martinez knocked a two-run double to right to push the Red Sox back in the lead at 7-6. Brentz was able to strike out the next two batters, but the damage was already done, and the Royals were unable to score another run. The 26-year-old lefty owns a 2.70 ERA and 42:24 K:BB over 36.2 innings in his first season at the major-league level.

Scrubb allowed three walks and struck out two over 2.2 scoreless innings in Tuesday's 13-3 loss to the Orioles.

Scrubb entered after starter Jose Urquidy left with right shoulder discomfort. He'll continue to serve in a multi-inning relief role. The right-hander has a 5.94 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over 16.2 innings out of bullpen.

Tate walked one and struck out two over 2.2 scoreless innings of relief Tuesday to record his first career save in a 13-3 win over the Astros.

Despite the lopsided final score, the right-hander entered the game in the seventh inning with the O's ahead only 4-3, as most of Baltimore's offense came in the final two frames. Tate has a sharp 1.88 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB through 14.1 innings over his last 10 appearances, and the 2015 first-round pick could find himself getting more conventional save chances if he continues to impress.

Hendriks gave up a run while walking one and striking out one in the ninth inning Tuesday to record his 21st save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Twins.

The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, tossing only 12 of 23 pitches for strikes as he issued his first free pass since May 23, but he had just enough cushion to get the job done. Hendriks remains the AL leader in saves, sitting three ahead of Matt Barnes, and he'll take a 2.38 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and dazzling 52:4 K:BB through 34 innings into his next appearance.

Abreu was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Tuesday's win over the Angels.

The right-hander was promoted from Triple-A over the weekend and will return there after delivering two scoreless frames Tuesday. Abreu has a 2.13 ERA across 12.2 big-league innings this season and figures to rejoin the Yankees later on this summer.

Rogers has thrown 6.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and no walks over his last eight appearances, netting two saves in the process.

Rogers has been part of a closing committee with Hansel Robles, but the 30-year-old southpaw has looked impressive of late and has gone 7-for-9 in save chances this year. He's sitting on an 11.8 K/9 and 1.4 BB/9, both career bests.

Lakins was removed from Tuesday's game against the Astros with right elbow discomfort, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander covered 1.2 innings and surrendered a run on three walks and a hit prior to his exit. According to Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com, Lakins will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury.

Norris touched 96.1 mph with his fastball Monday, which was the hardest he's thrown since 2016, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Norris dealt with injuries the past few seasons as well as a bout of COVID-19 that shut him down last summer, so it's encouraging to see him show increased velocity. The lefty averaged 94.6 mph with his fastball during Monday's appearance, which was 2 mph above his season average. Norris has struggled this year with a 6.67 ERA and 1.66 WHIP, but if he's able to maintain the increased velocity, he might be able to find a little more success out of the Detroit bullpen.

Lakins was removed from Tuesday's game against the Astros with an apparent injury, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The right-hander was lifted with two outs in the the second inning after being visited by the athletic trainer. Lakins was only expected to cover a few frames in Tuesday's start, and he gave up a run on three walks and a hit with zero strikeouts before exiting the contest. He should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.
