Abreu picked up the save in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Mariners, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Abreu earned his first save of the season in Saturday's contest. Ryne Stanek and Hector Neris had each pitched in the previous two games with Ryan Pressly on the paternity list, opening the door for Abreu to pick up a save. Pressly is likely to resume his closer duties upon his return, meaning Abreu should return to a mid-to-late-inning relief role.

Romano picked up the save Saturday against the Red Sox, striking out one batter over 1.1 perfect innings.

Romano was called in to pick up a multi-inning save Saturday. It was the second time he has done that this year. The righty reliever needed 18 pitches to get the four outs, giving him his 21st save this season and fourth this month. Romano has a firm grasp on the closer role in Toronto with just three blown saves and a 2.55 ERA this season.

Hearn registered a no-decision during Saturday's 3-1 loss to Oakland, allowing three hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 3.1 scoreless innings.

Hearn entered in the second inning following opener Matt Bush and navigated three successful frames before departing in the fifth with two on and one out. Reliever Dennis Santana escaped the jam with a double play to give Hearn his second scoreless outing in his last three appearances. Since being shifted to the bulk role, the 27-year-old has surrendered four runs (two earned) and 13 baserunners with 11 strikeouts in 11.1 innings across three appearances.

Stephan (4-3) earned the win in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the White Sox. He allowed four hits and struck out two without allowing a run in 1.1 innings.

Stephan was a little shaky, but he got the Guardians out of trouble in the seventh inning and gave up only one hit in the eighth before the offense took over in the ninth. In his last five appearances, he's allowed six hits and struck out nine over 6.2 scoreless innings. The right-hander has a steady 2.70 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 41:9 K:BB with two saves, five holds and a blown save in 36.2 innings overall.

Shaw (4-2) took the loss in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader versus the White Sox. He allowed two runs on a hit and two walks with one strikeout in 1.2 innings.

Shaw was responsible for both runners aboard in the eighth inning, and Nick Sandlin took a blown save when he allowed them to score on an AJ Pollock two-run single. This was the fourth time in Shaw's last 10 appearances that he's allowed multiple runs. He now has a 5.29 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB with four holds through 34 innings in 39 appearances.

Pilkington allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Serving as the 27th man for the twin bill, Pilkington was solid but not much more than that. He received no run support while in the game, but the Guardians' offense got him off the hook with a four-run rally in the seventh. The southpaw now has a 4.17 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB across 45.1 innings in 12 appearances (nine starts) with the Guardians this year. While it hasn't been officially announced yet, Pilkington is expected to return to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, though he'll remain Cleveland's preferred spot starter while Aaron Civale (wrist) is out.

Foster walked one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in a 5-4 win over the Guardians in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Liam Hendriks pitched in the matinee and took the loss, so he was unavailable for the nightcap. Foster was able to protect a one-run lead despite throwing only seven of 15 pitches for strikes, earning his first save of the season. The right-hander has allowed five runs (four earned) in eight innings in July, and he owns a mediocre 4.97 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 37:13 K:BB while adding five holds and a 1-2 record in 38 innings overall.

Patino was optioned to Triple-A Durham following his start Saturday against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Patino pitched four innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three in a no-decision versus the Royals. The right-hander will now head to Durham to open a roster spot for Jeffrey Springs (leg) to return from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's series finale. Patino owns a 6.75 ERA over three starts with the Rays this season and will look to get back into a groove in Triple-A.

Barlow (4-2) earned the win Saturday versus the Rays. He allowed three hits in two scoreless innings.

Barlow didn't strike out or walk a batter. He kept the game tied, and stayed in the game after the Royals pulled ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Barlow's scoreless streak is up to nine innings over his last eight appearances, and he's picked up four saves and two wins in that span. The closer has a 1.97 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB through 45.2 innings. This was his 12th appearance longer than one inning this season, so he's no stranger to handling a heavier workload than a traditional closer.

Patino allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Saturday.

The runs against Patino came in the third inning, but the Rays were able to get him off the hook in the seventh. In his second start back from an oblique injury that kept him out for three months, the right-hander was able to stretch out to 72 pitches (41 strikes), up from 56 pitches in his previous outing. He struggled against a weak-hitting opponent, and Patino now has a 6.75 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 3:4 K:BB across eight innings in three appearances this season.
