Lange allowed two runs on a hit and a walk over an inning of work to blow the save in Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays. He struck out two.

Lange's up-and-down season continued, as he blew his third save opportunity in 16 chances. The righty was lights-out through the end of May with a 1.16 ERA, but he has a 9.45 ERA since then, pushing his season mark to 4.17. Lange figures to stick as Detroit's closer due to the team's lack of other options, but he's been a shaky fantasy contributor recently.

Graveman allowed a run on a hit and a walk while striking out two in one inning, taking a blown save in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Graveman was called on to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning, but he put three of the first four batters on base. A fielder's choice and a second hit batsman created more trouble, but Graveman was able to limit the damage to one run. He's taken three blown saves this season, all of which have come since June 11. He's added seven saves, eight holds, a 2.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 39:19 K:BB through 40 innings in a high-leverage role.

Wingenter (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list Sunday and optioned to Triple-A Toledo.

Wingenter has been on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis since April 22, but he's now back from the injured list after a 10-outing rehab assignment. The 29-year-old allowed eight earned runs over 8.2 innings for Toledo during that stretch.

Padilla was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte after Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Padilla allowed a run in one inning during his lone appearance after being recalled by Chicago on Thursday, and he'll quickly return to Triple-A. The 26-year-old has spent most of the season with Charlotte and has a 4.08 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 34:22 K:BB across 28.2 innings.

Alexander won't require surgery for the partial tear in his left lat and is expected to be ready for the start of spring training in 2024, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

The 28-year-old will still miss the rest of the season while recovering from the injury, but the fact he won't require surgery is an encouraging development. According to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News, Alexander's rest-and-rehab program will start with being shut down from throwing for the next three months, but he should still have plenty of time to build his arm back up during the offseason.

Loaisiga (elbow) completed a 10-pitch bullpen session Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Loaisiga started up his throwing program in mid-June and returned to the mound Sunday for the first time since he underwent surgery in early May to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. The 28-year-old is already eligible to be activated from the 60-day IL, but he's likely still at least a few weeks away from rejoining the active roster.

Pruitt (1-6) took the loss against the Red Sox on Saturday, allowing four earned runs on four hits over 1.2 innings. He didn't walk a batter or record a strikeout.

Pruitt drew a spot start with Paul Blackburn unable to go due to an illness, but the right-hander never found his footing. Pruitt allowed three runs in the opening frame via a Justin Turner single and Alex Verdugo two-run home run before also being charged with an additional run after getting the hook in the second. The 33-year-old still sports a solid 3.90 ERA and acceptable 1.24 WHIP across 24 appearances (four starts) despite Saturday's stumble, but he's managed to record only two holds on the campaign while forging his crooked won-loss record.

Munoz (2-2) took the loss Saturday against the Astros, allowing an earned run on a solo home run over one inning. He also walked a batter and struck out two.

The flamethrowing right-hander experienced a rare hiccup when he surrendered a 371-foot one-out solo homer to Martin Maldonado, which snapped a 2-2 tie and ultimately saddled Munoz with the loss. Munoz hadn't allowed a ball to leave the yard over his first 16 appearances, so Saturday's stumble can safely be labeled an outlier for the high-leverage asset who has also garnered seven holds while posting a 2.81 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 37.5 percent strikeout rate.

The Blue Jays reinstated Pop (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Buffalo.

Before landing on the IL on May 5 with a strained right hamstring, Pop was a fringe member of the Blue Jays' 26-man active roster after compiling a 6.59 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 13.2 innings over his 15 relief appearances. Though Pop is now healthy again after making eight rehab appearances over the course of two separate assignments with Buffalo, the Blue Jays don't have a spot available for another low-leverage reliever.

The Orioles optioned Zimmermann to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Zimmermann was sent out to make room on the 26-man active roster for first baseman Ryan Mountcastle (vertigo), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. During his brief stay with the big club, Zimmermann made a lone appearance out of the bullpen, giving up an unearned run in one inning of relief in Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
