Martinez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays with an apparent injury, Sean McAdam of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.

Martinez led off the third inning with a double but appeared to suffer an injury while heading to second base, and he subsequently left the field. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, and the veteran slugger should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.

Canha (illness) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Canha has been out the past week while on the COVID-19 IL but will rejoin the active roster Wednesday after clearing MLB's testing protocols. The 33-year-old was off to a hot start prior to the absence, slashing .381/.500/.381 with three RBI and two runs scored in six games.

Jimenez is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Guardians due to a sore left ankle, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Manager Tony La Russa noted prior to the White Sox's 11-1 loss earlier Wednesday that Jimenez was dealing with some swelling in his foot after playing through the ankle injury he sustained from fouling a ball off himself. Jimenez was able to take batting practice Wednesday and could still be available as a pinch hitter for the second game of the twin bill.

Reyes isn't starting the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Reyes started in the first game of Wednesday's twin bill and went 1-for-4 with a run, a walk and a strikeout. Jose Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter while Gabriel Arias starts at third base.

Collins isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Collins had multi-hit performances in three of the last four games, going 8-for-15 with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and three runs during that time. He'll get a breather Wednesday while Vladimir Guerrero serves as the designated hitter with Cavan Biggio starting at first base.

Buxton (knee) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Buxton hasn't played since exiting Friday's game against Boston with right knee soreness, but the Twins have remained optimistic about his health. Gilberto Celestino will start in center field and bat ninth Wednesday.

Dickerson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

The lefty-hitting Dickerson's 1-for-21 start to the season has seemingly resulted in him losing hold of his strong-side platoon role at designated hitter. He'll be on the bench Wednesday for the third straight game, with his latter two absences from the lineup coming against right-handed starting pitchers in Walker Buehler and Tony Gonsolin. Dickerson's struggles at the plate have allowed Orlando Arcia to settle into a near-everyday role, though both Arcia and Dickerson will likely see their opportunities dwindle as soon as Ronald Acuna (knee) is ready to return from the 10-day injured list.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI on Tuesday against the Cubs.

Ramirez drove in what would ultimately prove to be the game-winning run in the seventh inning, driving a single into center field to score Randy Arozarena. Ramirez has been a part-time player to begin the campaign, but he has taken advantage of his recent opportunity by collecting three hits in his last 11 at-bats while scoring two runs and driving in two.

McCutchen isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

McCutchen will get his first off day of the season after going 0-for-5 with a run, two walks and three strikeouts in the last two games. Keston Hiura will serve as the designated hitter and bat seventh.

White Sox manager Tony La Russa said Jimenez is dealing with "a little foot soreness," which likely explains his absence from the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader in Cleveland, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Jimenez's foot issue was also a factor in the White Sox bringing up Adam Haseley from Triple-A Charlotte as the 29th man for the twin bill rather than reserving that spot for another pitcher. La Russa didn't seem too concerned about Jimenez's injury, so the slugger should be available off the bench for the first game of the doubleheader before potentially starting in the nightcap. The White Sox could look to deploy Jimenez as a designated hitter to limit the strain on his foot.
