    Jimenez exited Friday's action against the Tigers early with the injury. Although X-rays were negative he lands on the injured list, retroactive to April 27. Both Adam Engel and Nicky Delmonico could see a bump in playing time in Jimenez's absence.

    Martinez (back) is not in the lineup Sunday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

    Martinez was scratched from Saturday's lineup with back spasms and remains out of the lineup for the series finale against the Rays. Steve Pearce will serve as the designated hitter in his place.
