Winker went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 win over the Mets.

He took Edwin Diaz deep in the top of the ninth inning to break up a 4-4 tie -- the first hit the Mets' closer has given up to a left-handed hitter this season. Winker is now slashing .239/.316/.534 through 28 games with eight homers, but only 13 RBI.

Cespedes (heel) has been hitting in the batting cage, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Cespedes continues to slowly work his way back from heel surgeries he underwent in August and October, respectively. The veteran outfielder is also working through a throwing program, though he has yet to resume running, leaving him without a timetable for his return.

Canha will undergo an MRI on his sprained wrist Tuesday, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic reports.

Canha injured his wrist in Sunday's game against Toronto. The length of his absence should become clear once the results of the MRI are known.

Martinez (back) returns to the lineup Monday against Oakland, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Martinez was scratched from Saturday's game with back spasms and sat Sunday as well, but he's ready to go following two days of treatment. He'll hit third as the designated hitter Monday.

Canha was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right wrist Monday.

Canha suffered the injured Sunday against the Blue Jays. It's not clear how much time he'll miss, but he'll be out until May 9 at the earliest. Ryan Buchter was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move.

Vientos is slashing .225/.313/.310 through 21 games for Low-A Columbia with one home run and seven RBI.

The 19-year-old has looked a little overmatched in his first taste of full-season ball, posting a 7:22 BB:K after he managed a much more impressive 37:43 mark through 60 games in the Appy League last year. Vientos should eventually figure things out, and given his age just holding his own at this level would be a solid achievement, but the Mets' No. 4 fantasy prospect is capable of much more than treading water once things begin to click.

Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored Sunday against the Braves.

Blackmon got the Rockies on the board in the third inning with a single to left field, but Atlanta would come away with an 8-7 victory in the series finale. The 32-year-old remains hot at the dish, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. He's slugged three home runs and has driven in 10 runs during that stretch.

Canha was removed from Sunday's game against the Blue Jays due to a right wrist sprain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Canha's wrist injury could be serious enough to send him to the 10-day injured list, but Oakland likely won't make a move until re-evaluating him Monday morning. He hasn't found his groove at the plate through the first month of the season, hitting .216 with two homers and four RBI over 17 games.

Jimenez (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Jimenez was placed on the injured list Sunday and will not be available to return when his minimum stint is up. Jose Rondon, Adam Engel and Nicky Delmonico are all candidates to see an uptick in playing time in Jimenez's absence.

Manager Brad Ausmus said Ohtani (elbow) will not play during the team's upcoming home series against Toronto, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani has been increasing his workload, most recently hitting in a simulated game. He is set to get about 40 plate appearances in similar action across the next week, so he is not yet ready to return to the club. The team does play a second series during its upcoming homestand that begins May 4, and Ausmus may have left the door open for Ohtani to return then, depending on how he progresses this week.
