Dickerson will head to the bench for Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Dickerson will take a seat with a lefty slated to toss for Chicago in the series opener. As a result, Mike Yastrzemski is set to man left field, allowing Austin Slater to draw the start in right.

Pederson will head to the bench for Tuesday's game against Colorado.

Pederson will retreat to the bench with a southpaw scheduled to pitch Tuesday night for the Rockies. Tyler White draws the start at first base and is batting fifth in Pederson's stead.

Blackmon (back) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

Blackmon has missed the last two contests due to back spasms, though he'll test his back prior to Tuesday's contest by taking part in batting practice, per Thomas Harding of MLB.com. If he resonds well to BP, he may be available to hit off the bench. Raimel Tapia will man right field and bat seventh with Blackmon out of the mix.

Carpenter (foot) will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis throughout the week, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Carpenter has been on the 10-day injured list since July 16 due to a right foot contusion, and he's not yet ready to return to the big leagues. He's struggled to find his stroke while with Memphis, as he's 0-for-16 with three walks over five contests. The Cardinals have yet to disclose a firm timetable for his return.

Reed is not starting Tuesday against the Mets.

Reed sits for the second time in three games, following a stretch in which he started five straight. He's hit just .158/.214/.237 in 12 games for the White Sox this season and may not have a particularly long leash given that he's never proven himself at the big-league level.

Ozuna (finger) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Ozuna has been cleared for a minor-league assignment after spending just over a month on the shelf due to finger fractures on his right hand. A concrete timetable for his return has yet to be revealed.

Buxton will start in center field and bat eighth Tuesday in Miami.

Buxton typically slots in at the bottom of the order, but he'll move up a spot in the lineup for the first time since April 10 with the Twins deploying the pitcher (Jake Odorizzi) as the No. 9 hitter in the National League park. The more noteworthy development is that Buxton is in the starting nine in center field for the fifth straight game, showing no ill effects of the concussion that sidelined him almost two weeks. In his first four games back in action, Buxton went 6-for-14 with four doubles, four runs and an RBI.

Reyes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Monday in the Padres' 8-1 win over the Orioles.

Though he trails only Hunter Renfroe (29 home runs) for the team lead with 27 long balls, Reyes has left the yard just three times during a rough July. Given his lack of involvement in the run game and lack of premium contact skills, Reyes doesn't offer much when he's not slugging, which can make him a frustrating player to roster during prolonged power droughts. Perhaps in recognition of Reyes' redundancy due to the presence of similar power-centric corner outfielder in Renfroe, the Padres could be motivated to move either player before Wednesday's trade deadline, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and three RBI to help the Tigers to a 7-2 win over the Angels on Monday.

It was a throwback performance from the 36-year-old, who cranked a solo home run in the first inning off Jaime Barria and wound up knocking in three of his team's seven runs for the game. It was good to see him go yard, as the one-time superstar has endured a season-long power outage in 2019 that has seen him hit just six long balls and post a meager .373 slugging percentage.

Blackmon's absence from the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers is due to back spasms, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

The injury explains why Blackmon is sitting for the second straight game, though it apparently can't explain his absence from Sunday's contest, as the issue popped up during a postgame workout that day. The Rockies are optimistic that he can avoid the injured list. Ramiel Tapia starts in his place Monday and would be in line for an extended run of starts if that optimism proves incorrect.
