Harper was reinstated from the paternity list Monday.

Harper missed the Phillies' weekend series in Miami to be with his wife and newborn son. He'll return and hope to build on his .298/.385/.737 line over his last 15 games as the Phillies continue to fight for a playoff berth. Maikel Franco was sent to the minors in a corresponding move.

Harper (personal) is expected to be reinstated from the paternity list ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Pirates, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Harper missed all three of the Phillies' games in Miami over the weekend while awaiting the birth of his son, Krew. With the Phillies in the thick of a tight wild-card race, expect the superstar to immediately re-enter the starting nine upon rejoining the team Monday. Harper's return will likely result in Scott Kingery moving back to third base on a full-time basis, leaving fewer at-bats to go around for Brad Miller and Maikel Franco.

Goins entered Sunday's game after Leury Garcia was removed due to a lower leg injury.

Goins pinch ran for Garcia and stayed in the game to play left field. With Eloy Jimenez back in the lineup following a hip injury -- he served as the designated hitter over the weekend -- he should slot in at left field after Monday's off day and move Goins further into a depth role, unless Garcia's injury turns out to be serious.

Pederson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.

Pederson crushed Domingo German's first pitch of the game 420 feet to right field, producing the only Dodgers run in the affair. The 27-year-old has tallied 82 hits this season, with 39 going for extra bases, including 26 long balls. He continues to play almost exclusively against right-handed pitchers while sitting against southpaws, against whom he has hit only .175 (7-for-40) with no home runs this season.

Ford went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.

Ford did not start but was called upon to take the lineup spot of Didi Gregorius, who exited after being hit by a pitch in the first inning. Ford took full advantage of the opportunity, going deep against Clayton Kershaw in the sixth frame and plating another run with a double off Pedro Baez in the eighth. Despite the productive game, the 27-year-old is likely to lose playing time as soon as Luke Voit (sports hernia) makes his imminent return. Ford is slashing .215/.318/.441 with six homers and 11 RBI in 107 plate appearances this season.

Reyes went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 9-8 loss against the Royals on Sunday.

It looked like it was going to be another poor day for the outfielder, as he entered the eighth inning 0-for-3, but he hit a home run in the eighth and ninth, helping the Indians erase a five-run deficit. Reyes is hitting just .182 since joining the Indians at the end of July, but overall, he's batting .241 with 32 home runs, 60 RBI and 52 runs in 398 at-bats with the Padres and Indians this season.

Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs scored, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's 11-4 win over Colorado.

It was Carpenter's second multi-hit game of the month and he's still hitting just 12-for-51 (.235) with four extra-base hits in August. His current .703 OPS is the lowest of his career, and he could miss the 20-homer mark for the first time since 2014.

Canha went 2-for-4 with two solo homers in Sunday's 5-4 loss to San Francisco.

Canha is on a nine-game hitting streak with five homers and 12 RBI during that span. The hot streak has raised his OPS to .936, a huge upgrade from the career-high .778 he posted last season.

Martinez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to San Diego on Sunday.

Martinez drilled a 411-foot shot to left field in the fourth inning to produce the only run of the game for the Red Sox. He also impressed with his arm, throwing out a pair of runners -- one at third base and one at home -- in the loss. The 32-year-old has enjoyed a scorching August, hitting .383 with eight long balls and 20 RBI in 81 at-bats.

Choi went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.

Choi plated a run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly to right field, though the Rays would fall 8-3 in the series finale. After going 0-for-10 over his last three contests, Choi was able to build some momentum by collecting a pair of base knocks Sunday.
