Wilmer Flores DH | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Exiting lineup Thursday
Flores is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Flores had a three-home run game back on May 16, but he hasn't gone deep since then while producing a .552 OPS. He'll get a breather for Thursday's day game in order to regroup. The Giants will go with Heliot Ramos at designated hitter and Jerar Encarnacion in left field Thursday.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Season debut could come in mid-June
Stanton (elbows) is tracking toward making his season debut around mid-June, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.
Stanton is at the Yankees' spring training complex in Florida and could remain there to work out and take at-bats through the weekend. He's likely to begin a short rehab assignment after that, possibly as soon as early next week. Stanton is coming back from tennis elbow in both arms. The Yankees will have some decisions to make with their lineup upon Stanton's return, as they've already had to juggle playing time in the outfield and designated hitter between Ben Rice, Jasson Dominguez (thumb) and Trent Grisham. Stanton's arrival will only cloud that picture.

Kyle Manzardo DH | CLE
Guardians' Kyle Manzardo: Snaps homer drought
Manzardo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Yankees.
Manzardo's eighth-inning homer finished the scoring and snapped his 15-game long-ball drought. He'd entered the contest mired in a slump, batting .180 (9-for-50) with three RBI during that span. Manzardo is up to 11 home runs and 29 RBI while batting .211 over 54 games.

Gavin Sheets LF | SD
Padres' Gavin Sheets: Plates four runs Wednesday
Sheets went 2-for-5 with a triple and four RBI in a loss to San Francisco on Wednesday.
Sheets got the scoring started with a two-run triple -- just the second three-bagger of his career -- in the first inning. He added a two-run single in the fifth to give the Padres a 5-0 lead, but those were the final runs the team scored. Sheets was pulled early from Sunday's game against Pittsburgh after colliding with the outfield wall, but he seems to be fine now, as he's started the Padres' past two contests. He's up to 38 RBI through 57 games this year, just 15 short of the career-high 53 RBI he produced across 124 contests in 2022 with the White Sox.

Jorge Soler RF | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Exits with tight groin
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to groin tightness.
Soler went 1-for-1 with a walk and a base hit before Matthew Lugo came on to replace him in right field in the bottom of the third inning. The severity of Soler's groin injury isn't yet known, and the Angels could send him in for further tests before an update on his status is provided ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Mariners.

Jorge Soler RF | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Leaves with apparent injury
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game in Boston in the third inning with an undisclosed injury, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
The Angels haven't provided word on what exactly happened with Soler, but he was replaced by Matthew Lugo in right field before the bottom of the third inning. Soler had an infield single and drew a walk in his two plate appearances before departing. The Angels should have an update on his condition soon.

Gavin Sheets LF | SD
Padres' Gavin Sheets: Back in lineup
Sheets (head) will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth in Tuesday's game against the Giants.
Sheets missed a start Monday after colliding with the outfield wall Sunday, though he appeared as a pinch hitter during Monday's game. Now fully recovered, he'll aim to bounce back after going 2-for-18 across his last seven games.

Anthony Santander DH | TOR
Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Gets PRP injection in shoulder
Santander will rest for 5-to-7 days after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection in his injured left shoulder, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Santander landed on the 10-day injured list this past Friday with a shoulder injury that had been nagging at him for a while. The hope is that the PRP injection will help speed along the recovery process and that he will be ready to resume throwing and ramping up after a brief shutdown period.
