Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Out vs. lefty
Dickerson is not starting Wednesday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dickerson is on the bench for a second straight game with the Dodgers deploying another left-hander in Clayton Kershaw. Darin Ruf is once again starting in left field in his place.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Cleared to start Wednesday
Jimenez (ankle) will start in left field and will bat fifth Wednesday against the Pirates.
Jimenez enjoyed another productive showing the dish in Tuesday's 4-0 win (2-for-4 with a double and an RBI), but the twisted ankle he suffered while celebrating teammate Lucas Giolito's no-hitter after the game cast some doubt on his availability for the remainder of the series. After being checked out by the White Sox's training staff early Wednesday, Jimenez looks to have avoid a significant injury, as he'll be cleared to make a 17th straight start in left field. Assuming he makes it out of Wednesday's came no worse for the wear, Jimenez will get some much-needed time to rest Thursday, when the White Sox have an open date in their schedule.

Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: May be back next week
The Twins are optimistic that Buxton (shoulder) may be ready to return from the 10-day injured list early next week, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
Minnesota has been pleased thus far with how Buxton's inflamed left shoulder has responded to hitting off a tee, so he'll presumably be on track to take swings against live pitching within the next few days in what would likely mark the final hurdle he would need to clear in his rehab process. While Buxton has been sidelined, the Twins have turned center field over to LaMonte Wade and Jake Cave.

Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Giants' Brandon Belt: Belts two homers
Belt went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, five total RBI and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.
Belt got off to a slow start this season and was hitting .128 with a .458 OPS as recently as Aug. 15, but he seems to have turned a corner since then. Across his past nine games, the veteran has gone 16-for-28 (.571) with four homers, 10 RBI, a 4:4 BB:K and a .625 on-base percentage, so it's safe to say his struggles are behind him. Belt has also produced multi-hit games in each of his last three outings.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Four-hit performance
Turner went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's loss against the Giants.
Turner took advantage of Monday's day off to rest his sore hamstring, and he made quite an impact on offense with his first four-hit performance of the season. The slugging third baseman has hit safely in 15 of the Dodgers' last 17 games, slashing an impressive .339/.431/.484 during that stretch.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Phillies' Andrew McCutchen: Steals two bags
McCutchen 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, two stolen bases and a walk during Tuesday's win over the Nationals.
The veteran outfielder's only hit Tuesday was a single, but he still managed to fill out the box score. McCutchen has a .239/.292/.341 slash line with two homers, 16 RBI and three stolen bases in 23 games.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Twists ankle during celebration
Jimenez twisted his ankle while celebrating after Lucas Giolito completed his no-hitter Tuesday against the Pirates, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Jimenez was able to walk off the field and didn't appear to suffer a serious injury, but he could receive Wednesday off since the team has a scheduled off day to follow Thursday. The 23-year-old went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI during Tuesday's victory.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Reaches base three times Tuesday
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Cubs.
It was Cabrera's first multi-hit effort since Aug. 16 and just his fourth of the season. He should keep hitting in the middle of Detroit's lineup and is a good enough pure hitter to post solid stat lines from time to time, but his days as a feared offensive force are behind him.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Back in action Tuesday
Turner (hamstring) is starting at third base and batting third Tuesday at San Francisco, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
The 35-year-old sat out Sunday's contest with a sore hamstring after being hit by a pitch a day prior, but he's good to go coming out of Monday's scheduled off day. Turner has a .272/.372/.408 slash line with two homers through 28 games this season.
