Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Brewers' Daniel Vogelbach: Sitting vs. southpaw
Vogelbach is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Tigers.
Vogelbach has started four straight games, all against right-handers, but he will head to the bench with lefty Matthew Boyd on the hill. Vogelbach has a hit in all four games he has started with the Brewers and is hitting .385 with one run, one RBI and a 3:2 K:BB in 13 at-bats over that span.

Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Giants' Brandon Belt: Extends sizzling streak
Belt went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.
Belt recorded hits in 10 of his final 14 games in August, and he doesn't have plans to slow down with the calendar flipping to September. The veteran first baseman has already produced three multi-hit performances in seven September games and is slashing .444/.565/.944 with two homers and six RBI across that span.

Kyle Lewis DH | ARI
Mariners' Kyle Lewis: Racks up two hits
Lewis went 2-for-5 and added a stolen base in Tuesday's loss against the Giants.
Lewis got off to a strong start this season but has crashed down to earth over the last few weeks, and he is hitting just .171 with a .618 OPS, two home runs and three RBI over his last 10 games. In fact, this was his first multi-hit game since Aug. 22, when he produced three knocks against the Rangers.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Swipes another bag
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a loss to Texas on Tuesday.
Lots of things have gone wrong for Ohtani this season -- in addition to getting hurt again on the mound, he has posted a subpar .194 batting average -- but the slugger has at least been able to flash his ability on the basepaths, going a perfect 7-for-7 in steal attempts, tying him for the 10th-highest figure in the AL. He has been especially proficient in that category of late, swiping five bags over his last 11 games.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Astros' Michael Brantley: Collects five hits in doubleheader
Brantley went 5-for-6 with a home run, three doubles, two runs, two RBI and a walk during Tuesday's doubleheader against Oakland.
Houston combined for only 13 hits between the two games, with Brantley powering the offense with four extra-base knocks. The veteran slugger is 18-for-42 with three homers, six doubles, nine runs and 12 RBI across his past 12 contests.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Twins' Brent Rooker: Launches first career homer
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during a 6-4 loss to the Cardinals in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
After sitting on the bench during a 7-3 win by the Twins in the matinee, Rooker took over for Jake Cave in right field during the nightcap and launched his first career homer off Daniel Ponce de Leon in the second inning to briefly give Minnesota a lead. Rooker hasn't look out of place since his promotion, slashing .278/.316/.500 through his first six MLB games with five RBI.

Andrew McCutchen DH | TEX
Phillies' Andrew McCutchen: Sitting Game 2
McCutchen is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
McCutchen started Game 1 of Tuesday's twin bill, going 1-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts. Kyle Garlick will take over in left field for the Phillies in the nightcap.
-
Alex Dickerson DH | ATL
Giants' Alex Dickerson: Starting Tuesday's contest
Dickerson (knee) is starting in left field and batting second Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
The 30-year-old exited Monday's contest after fouling a pitch off his right knee, but he won't miss a game after X-rays came back negative Tuesday. Dickerson is 13-for-29 with four homers, four doubles, 10 runs and nine RBI in his past eight games.
-
Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Not starting Game 2
Buxton isn't in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Buxton went hitless in three at-bats during Tuesday's matinee, and he'll take a seat for the second game. LaMonte Wade will start in center field.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Placed on paternity list
Pederson was placed on the paternity list Tuesday.
It turns out that the "family-related matter" that kept Pederson out of the lineup Sunday was of the positive variety. The Dodgers should be well-equipped to handle his absence and could give the likes of Enrique Hernandez or Matt Beaty some additional at-bats until he returns. Players typically spend around three days on the paternity list, though the coronavirus pandemic could potentially add some logistical delays to that timeline. Josh Sborz was recalled in a corresponding move.
