Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: In Friday's lineup
Blackmon (leg) is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet reports.
Blackmon exited Wednesday's contest after dealing with cramping due to dehydration, but should be fully capable for Friday's series opener at Coors Field. Since the All-Star break, Blackmon has gone 12-for-25 with three home runs and six RBI at the plate.

Diamondbacks' J.D. Martinez: Not in Thursday lineup
Martinez (hand) is not in the lineup Thursday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
The new acquisition still is nursing a left hand contusion after being hit by a pitch Wednesday. Martinez should be back in the coming days, though the Diamondbacks may take their time with their new bopper to get him right. Chris Herrmann will spell him in right field

Yoenis Cespedes DH | NYM
Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Looks healthy in win over Cardinals
Cespedes went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
He's been hit with minor hip and hamstring injuries lately, so Cespedes is accumulating dings, but they don't seem to be impacting him too much. However, he's had a hard time staying healthy in general this year, which is why Cespedes is still stuck on nine homers over his meager total of 47 games in 2017. He hasn't hit one in close to a month, dating all the way back to June 23, so the Cuban's fantasy owners are certainly hoping he can stay on the field more consistently. A second-half power bender like the one he went on after being traded to the Mets two seasons ago wouldn't hurt either.

Diamondbacks' J.D. Martinez: Injury might be minor
Martinez, who left Wednesday's game in Cincinnati after swinging at a tight, inside pitch, has a left hand contusion. X-rays were negative and he's listed as day-to-day, according to the Diamondbacks' television broadcast.
This could end up being a huge sigh of relief for the team's big trade piece, especially when you consider what Arizona gave up for Martinez in order to make a better run at a playoff spot. He actually wanted to stay in the game, but manager Torey Lovullo thought it better to take the cautious route. We'll see if Martinez is able to suit back up for Thursday's series finale.

Diamondbacks' J.D. Martinez: Leaves after taking pitch off hand
Martinez was forced to leave Wednesday's game against Cincinnati after he was hit in the hand by a pitch, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
Martinez was attempting to check his swing but couldn't pull back in time and struck out on the pitch, adding insult to injury. Expect Martinez to undergo further evaluation, but he could be in for an extended absence after suffering some terrible luck in his first game as a Diamondback. Consider him day-to-day until team doctors can look at him.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Dealing with cramps Wednesday
Blackmon was removed from Wednesday's game with cramping in his upper leg and is expected to be fine going forward, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports.
The cramping was severe enough in the moment to force the Rockies to lift Blackmon in the middle of an at-bat. He was doing fine in the dugout afterwards, though, and considering the Rockies have a day off Thursday, expect him back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against Pittsburgh.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Exits Wednesday's contest with apparent leg injury
Blackmon was removed from Wednesday's game against the Padres in the middle of his sixth-inning at-bat due to what appeared to be a leg injury, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
No official word has come forth as to what the actual issue is, but he seemed to injure himself on the swing just before being removed. Blackmon was 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored before the incident. Until more details emerge, consider him day-to-day. Alexi Amarista replaced him in center field.

Diamondbacks' J.D. Martinez: Makes Arizona debut Wednesday
Martinez will make his inaugural appearance for the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night against the Reds. He'll bat fifth and play right field.
Martinez will slot right into the heart of the Diamondbacks' order that seems to closely resemble their regular lineup moving forward. He's sandwiched between Paul Goldschmidt and Chris Owings, which should help the slugging outfielder to rack up the counting stats in the hitter's haven known as Chase Field.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Hits bench versus lefty Wednesday
Pederson is not in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.
As has been the trend all season, Pederson will head to the bench with a left-handed pitcher (Carlos Rodon) taking the hill for Chicago. Trayce Thompson will man center field in his stead, but look for Pederson to slot back into the lineup when the Dodgers play Atlanta on Thursday.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Nationals' Bryce Harper: Receives off day Wednesday
Harper will sit Wednesday against the Angels, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
It's a disappointing off day for baseball fans, as many were excited to see a second night of the Trout vs. Harper battle. Instead, Harper will get the night off a day after going 4-for-4 and falling a double short of the cycle.
