Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Back up to fifth
Jimenez is starting in left field and hitting fifth Wednesday against the Rays, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Jimenez is back in his usual spot in the lineup after going 2-for-4 with an RBI as the team's No. 7 hitter Tuesday. The youngster is off to an uneventful start to his rookie campaign, going 11-for-39 (.282) with a 2:13 BB:K and no extra-base hits through 10 games.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Astros' Michael Brantley: Delivers key hit
Brantley went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Yankees.
Brantley's seventh-inning double plated Alex Bregman, who had doubled before him, to tie the game. The 31-year-old outfielder has hit in four straight, going 8-for-17 with three extra-base hits and four RBI during that run. As Houston's offense slowly emerges from a slumber, Brantley should be presented with plenty of RBI opportunities as the team's cleanup batter.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Doubles, drives in one
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Indians.
The double was actually the first extra-base hit of the season for Cabrera, as the 36-year-old is sporting a respectable .263 batting average but just a .680 OPS through 11 games. That OPS would easily be the lowest of Cabrera's illustrious career, but it's a small sample size and it wouldn't be too surprising to see him drive the ball with a bit more authority soon.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hitting off tee soon
Stanton (biceps) could hit off a tee Wednesday or Friday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Stanton appears to be slightly ahead of schedule, as he was previously not expected to resume swinging until this weekend. His return timeline could become clearer once the Yankees see how his tee work goes.
-
Brad Miller DH | SD
Indians' Brad Miller: Has first big game with Indians
Miller went 2-for-2 with a double, a steal, three runs scored and a two-run homer in Cleveland's 8-2 over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Miller provided the Indians' second and third runs with a second-inning homer to right and helped manufacture another run with a walk and a stolen base in the fifth. Miller came into the game just 2-for-18, and the big game raised his batting average to .200.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mariners' Daniel Vogelbach: On base four times in win
Vogelbach went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and two runs in a win over the Royals on Monday.
Vogelbach's early season Mike Trout impersonation continued Monday, as he raised his average to .471 while homering for the fourth straight game. The burly slugger's numbers are at clearly unsustainable levels across the board over his first 24 plate appearances, but it's conceivable that another year of seasoning at the Triple-A level last season made a tangible difference in Vogelbach's offensive acumen. The 26-year-old has somewhat of a challenging path to playing time while slotting in behind Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnacion at first base and designated hitter, respectively, but he could force manager Scott Servais' hand if he keeps up his improved play.
-
Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: Rips second round tripper
Canha went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs in a loss to the Orioles on Monday.
Canha launched his second home run of the season in the fifth, an impressive 436-foot shot to left center. The veteran continues to split time between first base and the outfield, and he's now hit safely in each of his last three starts. Canha has also displayed improved plate discipline, albeit over a small sample, thus far this season. The 30-year-old has already drawn eight walks over his first 27 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Drops to seventh in order
Jimenez will start in left field and bat seventh Tuesday in the White Sox's game against the Rays, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Jimenez has batted either fifth or sixth in every game this season, but he'll move down in the order despite turning in his fourth multi-hit outing of the campaign Monday. The demotion likely has less to do with Jimenez's performance than that of Tim Anderson, who has been the Sox's best hitter thus far with a 1.326 OPS through seven games.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Now throwing from 80 feet
Ohtani (elbow) has started to throw out to 80 feet, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Ohtani continues to progress through his throwing program without issue. Manager Brad Ausmus noted that Ohtani threw 20 times from 70-to-80 feet and also hit on the field Monday. Despite this, the Angels have yet to committ to a firm timetable for his return.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mariners' Daniel Vogelbach: Goes deep twice
Vogelbach went 3-for-4 with two home runs, six RBI and two runs in a 12-5 victory against the White Sox on Sunday.
The big lefty was hitting for average before Sunday, but this performance was nice for the power categories. In 15 at-bats, Vogelbach already has four homers, which is the total he reached last season in 87 at-bats. He also has eight RBI and five runs while hitting .467 (7-for-15) in 2019.
