Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Could begin rehab assignment Monday
Stanton (shoulder) has been facing live pitching and should begin a rehab assignment Monday, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports.
He was hit on the knee by a pitch Friday, but he checked out OK. Stanton will head to High-A Tampa for his rehab assignment Monday, assuming everything goes smoothly over the next couple days. It is unclear how long the assignment will be, but it seems possible that he could be an option in weekly leagues for the final week of May.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Doubles twice in loss
Cabrera went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Athletics.
Cabrera had half of his team's hits as the Tigers once again looked anemic offensively. The 36-year-old has mostly done his part with a .290 batting average through 42 games, though his lack of power has been troublesome. Cabrera has just one home run so far, and his .361 slugging percentage would be the lowest of his 15-year MLB career.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Homers on rehab
Jimenez (ankle) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run for Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
Jimenez has a hit in all four games while on a rehab assignment, going 6-for-16 with two extra-base hits and three runs scored. After starting the rehab stint with a game as the designated hitter, Jimenez played left field the next three games, including a full nine innings Thursday and Friday. If he's not back up with the White Sox this weekend, he should be up by Monday.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: Finding power stroke
Canha went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-2 win over the Tigers.
Getting the start in center field and hitting eighth, Canha took Daniel Norris deep in the fifth inning for his fifth homer of the year -- and third in four games since recovering from a wrist sprain. The veteran outfielder is now slashing .212/.354/.519 on the year through 22 games.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mariners' Daniel Vogelbach: Out against lefty
Vogelbach will sit against lefty Martin Perez and the Twins on Friday.
Vogelbach hasn't been completely hidden against lefties this season, but he's started against just four of the 13 the Mariners have faced so far. Edwin Encarnacion will be the designated hitter Friday, with Ryon Healy starting at first base.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mariners' Daniel Vogelbach: Homers in third straight game
Vogelbach went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Twins on Thursday.
The 404-foot blast accounted for half of Seattle's runs in the game and marked Vogelbach's third consecutive game with a home run. Though his batting average (.248) has tumbled in recent weeks, the powerful first baseman is showing that his breakout season is no fluke, as he is now tied for fifth in the American League with 12 homers.

Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Homers in second straight
Buxton went 2-for-5 in a victory over Seattle on Thursday, driving in three runs with a fourth-inning home run and scoring twice.
Buxton's blast off Seattle starter Erik Swanson blew the game open for Minnesota and marked the fifth time in his career that he has homered in consecutive games. The speedy outfielder has been red-hot of late, batting 10-for-22 (.455) during his current six-game hitting streak.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: Logs pinch-hit homer
Canha went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Tigers.
Canha entered the game as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning but delivered his homer in the top of the ninth. It was his fourth home run of the season and second since being activated from the injured list Monday. He will likely continue to get most of his at-bats against left-handed pitching, serving as depth both at first base and in the outfield.
