Choi went 2-for-2 with three walks, two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 10-9 loss to the Rangers.

His three-run blast in the second inning helped Tampa tie the game up after Texas exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the first, and his solo shot in the ninth nearly knotted things up again, but in between Choi got picked off second base in the seventh -- one of four Rays caught napping on the basepaths over the course of the night. The 28-year-old now has 15 homers and 54 RBI on the year to go with his .259/.361/.438 slash line.

Canha went 3-for-6 with an RBI and three runs in Tuesday's blowout win over the Astros.

Canha singled and scored in the first inning, did the same in the second and did it a third time in the sixth, scoring three of his team's 21 runs on the day. He now owns an excellent .337/.449/.584 slash line over his last 24 games.

Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam home run in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Royals.

Jimenez gave the White Sox all the runs they needed in the first inning, belting the first grand slam of his career. He's fought through a couple of injuries and rookie growing pains to hit 25 home runs in 107 games.

Lewis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Reds.

Lewis played right field in his major-league debut and plated Seattle's first run with a 426-foot shot in the fifth inning. The 24-year-old was called up from the minors Monday after slashing .263/.342/.398 with 11 homers, 62 RBI and 152 strikeouts in 122 games with Double-A Arkansas this season.

Reyes went 1-for-2 with four RBI and a walk in the Indians' 8-0 victory over the Angels on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old wound up driving in half of his team's runs for the game, cranking a three-run double in the third inning before adding a sacrifice fly in the seventh. He's had a prolific power-hitting campaign in 2019, cranking 34 homers, 17 doubles and driving in 74 runs despite a pedestrian .250 batting average across 497 plate appearances between the Padres and Indians.

Buxton was placed on the 60-day injured list and will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports

After visiting team doctors in New York, it's been determined that Buxton will require season-ending surgery to repair the labrum in his left shoulder. According to Derek Wetmore of SKOR North, the estimated recovery time is 5-to-6 months, so it's unclear at this time whether he'll be ready for the start of spring training. Ronald Torreyes will replace Buxton on the 40-man roster.

Manager Rocco Baldelli stated Tuesday on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Buxton (shoulder) may be done for the year.

Buxton has been away from the team for a scheduled visit with team doctors, and although an official diagnosis hasn't been provided by the Twins, it appears the outfielder's status for the final stretch is in jeopardy. More information on Buxton's availability should become clear in the coming days.

Alvarez went 2-for-5 with two home runs in a 15-0 win over the Athletics on Monday.

Alvarez hit two solo home runs in his first two at-bats to give him 24 on the season. The second home run had a 113.5 MPH exit velocity with a 36-degree launch angle and landed in the upper deck in right field at Minute Maid Park. Alvarez set the franchise record for rookie home runs in a season with the first blast, playing in only 71 games. Alvarez has a .316/.409/.673 slash line in 308 plate appearances.

Stanton (knee) could return to action during the Yankees' next homestand, which begins Sept. 17, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Injuries have limited Stanton to just nine games this season, but the Yankees have a commanding division lead without him. They'll likely care most about getting him back for the playoffs, but he appears to have time to get around two weeks' worth of regular-season practice in before the postseason begins. "He's ramping up pretty good and he's getting close to where it's full baserunning," stated manager Aaron Boone, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. "He's doing his full defense already. We're going to have him slide and hopefully he'll be back in the mix with us sometime in the next week."

Canha went 2-for-3 with an RBI groundout, a walk and a run in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Canha came through with his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 26 in the low-scoring victory, snapping out of the 3-for-23 slump that had encompassed his previous eight games in the process. The veteran has been a valuable contributor with both the glove and bat, and with his 52nd RBI of the season Sunday, he tied the second-highest total of his career in that category.
