Pinto went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Red Sox.

Pinto extended Tampa's lead to 7-0 in the third inning with a two-run, 424-foot blast off Tanner Houck. The 26-year-old Pinto has taken over as the Rays' primary option behind the plate -- he's gone 10-for-50 (.200) in his last 16 games, though five of his hits have been home runs. Overall, Pinto's batting .245 with a .717 OPS, six homers, 16 RBI and eight runs scored through 96 plate appearances this season.

Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Reds.

The young backstop had missed the Guardians' prior two games with a thumb issue, but he quickly proved he was healthy by launching his 10th homer of the season off Hunter Greene in the second inning. Naylor is slashing .319/.476/.596 in September with three home runs, four steals, 11 RBI and 12 runs in 16 contests, and the 23-year-old appears to have cemented himself as Cleveland's catcher of both the present and the future.

Maile went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 11-7 win over the Guardians.

Maile and the rest of the lineup overcame a short three-inning outing from starter Hunter Greene. The journeyman catcher belted a solo homer in the third third inning, then lashed a two-out, two-run single in the fifth that plated the game-winning run. Maile has six home runs, 25 RBI and a .723 OPS over 75 games.

Wells went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.

Wells played the hero Tuesday night, knocking a two-run homer off Jordan Romano in the top of the ninth of a scoreless game to give the Yankees the lead. It marked the second straight game with a two-run homer for Wells, as he also hit one Monday against Arizona. After hitting .103 over his first eight games, the rookie catcher has generated a .276 average with three homers, five runs and six RBI over his subsequent eight contests.

McGuire was pulled from Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay due to a left thumb contusion, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

McGuire injured his thumb while catching warmup throws from Tanner Houck ahead of the third inning and was replaced by Connor Wong. There's no word on how long McGuire will be held out, but Wong figures to see more consistent starts behind the plate while McGuire recovers.

The Giants recalled Bart from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

After losing Jakob Junis (neck) for the year, the Giants will opt to bolster their bench depth and add Bart as their third catcher on the active roster. The 26-year-old backstop went 0-for-9 during his most recent stint in the majors and doesn't figure to see regular playing time during the final week of the season.

McGuire was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rays with a thumb injury, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

No word yet on the severity of McGuire's injury, but the Red Sox should provide more specifics in the near future. Connor Wong entered the game to replace McGuire behind the plate.

Campusano is out of the lineup Tuesday at San Francisco.

Brett Sullivan will start behind the plate and bat ninth versus the Giants and left-hander Kyle Harrison. Campusano has slashed .359/.388/.500 in 67 plate appearances since the beginning of September, but this is the second straight absence for the 24-year-old catcher.

Bailey is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Padres.

Blake Sabol will start at catcher and bat eighth against the Padres and right-hander Seth Lugo. Bailey went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Monday's series opener and is slashing just .130/.190/.148 over his last 58 plate appearances dating back to Aug. 30.

Jeffers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Oakland.

Jeffers has an .857 OPS over 45 at-bats in September but continues to split time behind the plate with Christian Vazquez, who is starting and batting eighth Tuesday.
