Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in a 6-3 victory against the Twins on Friday.

The 26-year-old absolutely clubbed two bombs, but unfortunately, nobody was on base either time. That's been common for Sanchez this season, as he has 10 homers but only 20 RBI. Sanchez also barely walks, but thanks to 12 extra-base hits in only 68 at-bats, he still has a 1.069 OPS (.735 slugging percentage). Sanchez is also hitting .265 with 12 runs.

D'Arnaud was released by the Mets on Friday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

D'Arnaud will hit the open market after being designated for assignment and subsequently clearing waivers. The 30-year-old backstop appeared in just 10 games for the Mets this season, going 2-for-23 (.087) with a pair of RBI.

Jansen is not starting Friday against Texas.

Jansen is hitting a modest .257 over his last 11 games, though that qualifies as a hot streak compared to his .132 average over his first 12 contests. Luke Maile gets the start behind the plate in his absence.

Perez is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Mariners, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Perez will head to the bench carrying a modest five-game hit streak in which he is 5-for-13 with one home run. Kevin Plawecki will start behind the plate and bat eighth Friday.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the White Sox, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Vazquez started five of the last six games but will take a seat for the second game of the series in Chicago. Sandy Leon will do the catching for Chris Sale and will bat ninth in his stead.

Gomes is not starting Friday against the Phillies.

Gomes started seven of the last 10 games prior to Friday's contest. Kurt Suzuki will take over behind the plate.

Wynns is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Wynns will take a seat for the third time in five games since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Pedro Severino will grab another start behind the plate and bat ninth.

McCann went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double and a walk in a 6-4 victory for the White Sox over the Red Sox on Thursday.

It was a big day at the dish for the backstop, who hit his third homer and fifth double of the season in this contest, both off David Price. He's been blistering hot over his 63 at-bats, as McCann is now boasting an impressive .365/.412/.587 slash line. If he continues to rake, he should command more at-bats than Wellington Castillo, who is hitting just .189 over 53 at-bats.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Grandal will receive some rest after starting each of the Brewers' last three games at catcher. Manny Pina checks in behind the plate and will work in a battery with Freddy Peralta.

Mejia is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Braves.

Mejia was behind the plate Tuesday and Wednesday, the first time all season he has received consecutive starts. With five strikeouts in seven at-bats between those contests, Mejia didn't capitalize on the opportunity and still looks to be the Padres' No. 2 backstop behind Austin Hedges.
