Barnes is out of the lineup for Sunday night's game against the Cubs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Barnes is 1-for-16 in five games since coming off the injured list June 6 and will take a seat for the series finale. Russell Martin will start behind the plate and bat seventh in his stead Sunday.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Narvaez heads to the bench after compiling six hits while starting each of the past four games at catcher. Tom Murphy checks in for Narvaez behind the dish in the series finale and will work in a battery with Mike Leake.

Garver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Jason Castro will get a turn behind the plate while Garver rests after starting at catcher in both of the first two games of the series. Since returning from the injured list June 2, Garver has picked up right where he left off prior to suffering a high-ankle sprain. In his first nine games back in action, Garver has gone 10-for-35 (.286 average) with two home runs, nine RBI and six runs.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Coley Harvey of ESPN.com reports.

Sanchez will receive a routine breather after starting the past six games, with five of those assignments coming at catcher. He'll give way to Austin Romine behind the plate in the series finale.

Gomes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Diamondbacks.

Gomes will take a seat for the third time in the last four games as Kurt Suzuki receives another start behind the plate. Gomes is off to a slow start in June with a .437 OPS, though he does have a hit in each of his last four games.

Realmuto (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Atlanta, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto exited Saturday's game after a foul tip hit him between the legs, and he'll take an extra day to recover just to be safe. The 28-year-old started the last 14 games for the Phillies, so the team may simply be taking advantage of the opportunity to provide him a well-deserved off day. Andrew Knapp will start behind the plate in his absence.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Diaz will pick up a routine breather after starting the Pirates' last four games behind the plate. Backup Jacob Stallings will handle the catching duties in the series finale.

Casali is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Casali heads to the bench after starting each of the past three games behind the plate and going 2-for-9 with a pair of home runs. While Casali's .837 OPS greatly exceeds Tucker Barnhart's mark (.623), the latter player still looks like the Reds' top option behind the plate thanks to his greater familiarity with the pitching staff and reputation as a solid defensive backstop.

McCann went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Yankees.

McCann's eighth-inning blast was his fifth of the season and snapped a string of 27 straight games without one. It has been natural to wonder if/when McCann, who entered the season a career .240 hitter and is currently batting .320, would regress to his mean. That might be happening now. Since the calendar flipped to June, the 29-year-old backstop is hitting .231 (9-for-39).

Realmuto left Saturday's game in the sixth inning after a foul tip caught him between the legs, Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

He initially stayed in the game after being struck by the Freddie Freeman foul tip, but then checked out after complaining of nausea. The Phillies have been trying to find opportunities to lessen Realmuto's workload as it is, so don't be surprised if he sits Sunday even if the issue proves not to be a serious one.
