Tigers manager A.J. Hinch suggested during his appearance Tuesday on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Haase is in store for an expanded role. "I'm going to give him as much playing time as I can," Hinch said.

Injuries to Wilson Ramos (spine) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) facilitated Haase's call-up from Triple-A Toledo on May 12, and the 28-year-old catcher has been a revelation since arriving in Detroit. Through 74 plate appearances, Haase is hitting .265 with seven home runs, three doubles and a triple. A 33.8 percent strikeout rate will make it tough for him to maintain a high batting average, but Haase's power is legitimate and should be enough for him to get steady reps. Haase has thus far split time at catcher with Jake Rogers, who is regarded as the superior defender of the two. Even if the Tigers grow dissatisfied with Haase's work behind the plate, he'll have alternative paths to playing time thanks to his ability to play left field and first base.

Caratini went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs Monday in the Padres' 9-4 win over the Cubs. He also reached base when he was hit by a pitch.

After posting a .133 on-base average across his previous six contests, Caratini was able to get back on track against his former team. He'll continue to serve as the Padres' No. 1 catcher while Austin Nola likely remains on the injured list through late June, but Caratini's fantasy upside will be fairly suppressed due to his lack of power and low placement in the lineup.

Stassi went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and two additional runs in Monday's win over the Royals.

Stassi was the Angels' biggest offensive threat, as he recorded a team high in hits, RBI and runs scored while hitting in the fifth spot of the order. The backstop has hit safely in four of his last five games, posting two multi-hit contests and two homers in that span.

Perez went 2-for-4 in Monday's loss against the Angels.

Perez was one of two Royals that recorded more than one knock in Monday's loss against Los Angeles, and the star backstop continues to make an impact in the middle of the Royals lineup. He has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games and this was his third multi-hit appearance of the month.

Rutschman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, two walks and two runs Sunday in Double-A Bowie's 13-11 loss to Hartford.

Following a huge weekend in which he went 6-for-12 with four extra-base hits (two home runs, two doubles) and two walks over three games, Rutschman now maintains a 1.036 OPS through his first month at Double-A. The 23-year-old's bat certainly looks like it could be MLB-ready, but the Orioles will likely want to see him show more growth as a defender behind the dish before his promotion is seriously considered. A 2022 MLB debut still seems like the most realistic outcome for Rutschman.

Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Sanchez's two-run, one-out double to deep left in the bottom of the first inning helped stake the Yankees to an early 2-1 lead, but New York ultimately couldn't avoid a series sweep. For the 14th game in a row, the Yankees were limited to five runs or fewer, but Sanchez hasn't been at major fault for the offense's recent struggles. During that 14-game stretch, Sanchez is slashing .278/.381/.444 with four extra-base hits.

Plawecki will catch and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Marlins, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Plawecki is getting a turn behind the dish while No. 1 catcher Christian Vazquez rests after starting in each of the past three games. By catcher's standards, Plawecki has been a serviceable performer at the plate this season, providing a .245/.310/.358 slash line across 59 plate appearances.

Vazquez will sit for Monday's game against the Marlins, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

D'Arnaud (thumb) remains without a definitive timeline to resume full baseball activities, but Atlanta has growing optimism that he may be ready to return from the 60-day injured list in the first half of August, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

D'Arnaud continues to sport a cast on his left thumb after requiring surgery in early May to address a torn ligament, but that hasn't stopped him from getting conditioning work in. He was spotted on the field ahead of Sunday's game against the Dodgers taking part in throwing drills, though he wasn't able to catch while the cast was on his hand. Once d'Arnaud's cast is removed, Atlanta should have a better idea of when he might be ready to return to game action, but everything up to this point suggests that he's progressed quicker than expected more than a month after undergoing surgery.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Murphy notched Oakland's lone run with an RBI double that scored Tony Kemp in the top of the sixth, but that would be all the offense the Athletics would be able to muster in the entire game. The backstop has hit safely in six of Oakland's last eight contests but is hitting only .222 on the campaign.
