Alvarez went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run for High-A Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The Mets' No. 3 fantasy prospect got promoted from Low-A late last week, and after going 2-for-12 in his first four games at the new level, Alvarez connected on his first homer for the Cyclones and his third in 20 games on the season. The Mets may be reluctant to advance the 19-year-old up the ladder any further this year no matter how well he does for Brooklyn, but he continues to solidify his spot at the team's catcher of the future.

Perez went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Royals.

He's 5-for-15 with two homers in his last four starts since May 22. Jacob Stallings remains the starter, but Perez has performed well at the plate since starting slowly. For the season, Perez is slashing just .145/.221/.323 in 68 plate appearances.

Hedges is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

First pitch for Wednesday's series finale is 1:10 p.m. ET, so Hedges is presumably just getting some maintenance after catching all nine innings of Tuesday's 6-5 win while going 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Rene Rivera will form a battery with Jean Carlos Mejia on Wednesday.

Barnhart is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

The Reds are just extending Barnhart a breather for the day game after a night game. Tyler Stephenson checks in behind the dish for Barnhart, who went hitless in four at-bats during Tuesday's 17-3 loss.

Garver announced Wednesday via his personal Instagram account that he underwent surgery after being diagnosed with a left groin contusion following his departure from Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Orioles.

When discussing his situation in the Instagram post, Garver put "left groin contusion" in quotations, perhaps emphasizing that he was dealing with a more severe injury than the Twins initially revealed. Garver noted that he required an ultrasound after exiting the game, with imaging revealing that surgery would be necessary to address the injury. Manager Rocco Baldelli admitted after the game that Garver would be "out a while," so the catcher will almost certainly be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Wednesday's series finale in Baltimore. Willians Astudillo is the next man up for reps at catcher with Garver sidelined.

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two strikeouts in a 12-6 loss to Oakland on Tuesday.

Murphy was having a pedestrian day until his eighth-inning blast off Jake Diekman brought Seattle within four runs of Oakland's lead. The backstop has been a boom-or-bust hitter this season with a .170/.229/.390 slash line that includes four doubles and six home runs on only 17 hits.

Hedges went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

The long ball marked the 28-year-old's first home run or extra-base hit since May 1. Hedges should continue to split catching reps with Rene Rivera but can't be expected to provide steady offense.

Perez went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI during Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

They were the team-leading 11th and 12th homers of the year for Perez, who took Wil Crowe deep in the fourth inning followed by Chasen Shreve in the seventh. The 31-year-old backstop has now hit safely in six straight, raising his season slash line to .280/.309/.507.

Caratini went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.

His fifth-inning shot against Kyle Hendricks got the Padres on the board. Caratini, who has tallied four long balls across 40 games this season, is expected to see an uptick in playing time with Austin Nola (knee) on the 10-day injured list.

Haase went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

Haase doubled his season homer total with solo blasts in the second and third innings. The reserve catcher has seen more playing time lately with Wilson Ramos (back) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) both on the injured list, but despite Tuesday's outburst, Haase doesn't project to be a consistent fantasy asset moving forward.
