Stephenson went 3-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and two runs during Wednesday's 14-11 win over Milwaukee.

Stephenson started the scoring with an RBI double during the the opening frame, and he hit another double in the second to put the Reds up 7-0. It's his seventh multi-hit game and second three-hit effort of the campaign. The 25-year-old has a .322/.397/.559 slash line with three home runs, five doubles, 17 RBI and 11 runs through 20 games.

Plawecki was ejected from Wednesday's game against Atlanta for arguing balls and strikes, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Plawecki was up to bat with two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, and he was ejected after he expressed his displeasure with a called third strike. He went 1-for-3 and was replaced by Christian Vazquez behind the plate.

Contreras went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, three runs and a walk in the victory over the Padres on Wednesday.

Contreras launched a solo shot off Nick Martinez in the first inning and later singled and walked, coming around to score in both instances. He now has four long balls on the season and two in his last five games. The catcher has notched four multi-hit performances in his last five contests, raising his average from .227 to a team-best .304 over that stretch. Contreras continues to operate as one of the best fantasy catchers in 2022, also contributing a .935 OPS with 10 RBI and 19 runs over 92 at-bats in 25 games this year.

Ruiz will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Ruiz was on the bench for the Nationals' last two games, but his absence from the lineup in Tuesday's 4-2 loss was likely just a byproduct of Washington's pitching schedule. Manager Dave Martinez wanted to keep Riley Adams in a battery with Patrick Corbin, who followed up an eight-inning effort May 4 in Colorado by blanking the Mets over five innings. Adams and Corbin should continue to work in a tandem moving forward, but Ruiz still profiles as the Nationals' clear No. 1 catcher and should pick up the lion's share of the work behind the dish.

Vazquez isn't starting Wednesday against the Rangers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Vazquez started in the last three games and went 3-for-12 with a double, two RBI, a run, a walk and three strikeouts during that time. Kevin Plawecki will take over behind the dish and bat eighth Wednesday.

Heim isn't starting Wednesday against the Royals.

The 26-year-old started in the last three games and should serve as the primary catcher with Mitch Garver (elbow) on the injured list. However, Heim will get a breather while Sam Huff starts behind the dish and bats eighth Wednesday.

McCann isn't starting Wednesday against the Nationals.

McCann went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday's win over Washington, and he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Tomas Nido will start behind the dish and bat ninth.

Wallach went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 12-0 victory versus the Rays.

Wallach's claim to fame in this game will be being behind the plate for Reid Detmers' no-hitter, but the backstop also made an impact on offense with his three-run homer off Corey Kluber in the third inning. This was just his second major-league game of the season, as he has been pressed into action with both Max Stassi and Kurt Suzuki on the COVID-19 injured list. Wallach now four homers over 240 career plate appearances.

Diaz isn't starting Wednesday against San Francisco, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Diaz will get a breather after he went 1-for-7 with a double, a run, a walk and two strikeouts over the last two games. Dom Nunez will start behind the plate and bat ninth.

Nola isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Nola started in the last three games and went 3-for-11 with an RBI and three strikeouts. Jorge Alfaro will take over behind the plate and bat ninth.
