Realmuto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 6-4 loss to Texas.

The 31-year-old walked during the first inning and came around to score, and he also went deep off Matt Bush to lead off the eighth. Realmuto entered the contest 0-for-12 over his previous four contests, but he bounced back Tuesday with his second homer and sixth multi-hit game.

Heim has taken advantage of those early opportunities and has a .364/.475/.697 slash line to go with three home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs.

Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Phillies.

Garver started the scoring Tuesday with a 400-foot shot to left center field with a runner on during the first inning, but he was unable to produce in his other three at-bats. It's his second homer in his past five games, and he's gone 5-for-20 during that stretch. Overall, it's been tough going early in the season for Garver with a .183/.272/.310 slash line through 20 games.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

D'Arnaud went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts during the Game 1 defeat, and it's not a surprise he won't be starting both ends of the twin bill. William Contreras will take over behind the plate in the nightcap.

Contreras is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury but is available off the bench, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Manager David Ross mentioned Contreras' injury as the reason for his second consecutive absence Tuesday but declined to specify exactly what was wrong, citing "competitive" reasons. Yan Gomes will start behind the plate Tuesday, but the fact that Contreras is available off the bench suggests that he could be back in the lineup soon.

The Reds optioned Kolozsvary to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

With Tyler Stephenson (concussion) back from a stint on the 7-day injured list, Kolozsvary won't stick around as a No. 3 catcher. He served as Aramis Garcia's backup during his brief stay in Cincinnati, appearing in six games while going 1-for-11 with an RBI.

Higashioka is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

After picking up three starts in a four-game stretch to close out the weekend, Higashioka now finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row. The Yankees are expected to ride the hotter bat between Higashioka and Jose Trevino at catcher, though neither is doing much to separate himself from the other. Higashioka owns a .386 OPS on the season, while Trevino's mark sits at a similarly feeble .463.

Contreras will sit Tuesday against the White Sox.

Contreras sits for the second straight game. It's possible he's dealing with a minor injury or illness, as his .250/.354/.426 slash line doesn't suggest he deserves to lose playing time. Yan Gomes remains the starter behind the plate.

Stephenson (concussion) was activated off the injured list Tuesday and will bat fifth and start behind the plate against the Brewers.

Stephenson wound up missing two weeks after colliding with Luke Voit at home plate. He's ready to go without having played in any rehab games and will look to get back to the form he showed prior to his injury, when he hit .267/.378/.467 in 11 games. Mark Kolozsvary was optioned to clear a roster spot.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Vazquez will retreat to the bench after going 2-for-10 with a double while catching in three of the Red Sox's previous four games. Kevin Plawecki will be behind the dish for Tuesday's series opener.
