Delay will start at catcher and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Delay will be rewarded with his third start in a row behind the plate after he went 4-for-8 with a pair of doubles and a run scored between the previous two contests. All three of the righty-hitting Delay's starts have come against left-handed pitchers, so it's too early to conclude that he's usurped the lefty-hitting Michael Perez as the Pirates' preferred catcher.

Perez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

The lefty-hitting Perez is on the bench for the third game in a row with the Pirates set to face yet another southpaw starter (Daniel Castano). Jason Delay will get another turn behind the plate at Perez's expense.

Barnhart isn't in the lineup Tuesday at Kansas City.

The veteran has gone 4-for-18 with a pair of doubles and four walks since the start of July. Eric Haase will catch in Barnhart's place Tuesday.

Heim is on the bench for Tuesday's game versus Oakland.

Heim went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs Monday and is now hitting .364 in 10 games this month. Sam Huff is catching Tuesday.

Moreno was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

With Danny Jansen (finger) being activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Moreno no longer had a spot on the active roster and was optioned back down to Buffalo. In his first 58 career at-bats, the 22-year-old produced a .276 average with a double, four RBI and three runs. Moreno will remain a top candidate to be called up if either Alejandro Kirk or the aforementioned Jansen gets hurt moving forward.

The Blue Jays activated Jansen (finger) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. He'll start at catcher and bat ninth in the Blue Jays' series opener with the Phillies.

Jansen last played June 6, when he fractured his hamate bone and landed on the IL. Alejandro Kirk is going to be in the lineup nearly every day between catcher and designated hitter, but there should still be plenty of at-bats for Jansen, who's the superior defender of the two backstops. Prior to being deactivated, Jansen had shown some solid pop with a .232/.290/.625 slash line over 62 plate appearances.

Nido is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Nido will take a seat Tuesday after he went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's win. Patrick Mazeika will start at catcher and bat ninth against Atlanta. Nido will likely continue to garner the lion's share of work behind the plate while James McCann (oblique) is on the 10-day injured list.

Mejia will sit Tuesday against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Mejia will get a day off Tuesday after he went 2-for-4 with a double in Monday's victory. Christian Bethancourt will take over behind the plate and bat third against the Red Sox.

Stallings is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Pirates, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stallings will get a breather after he went 0-for-6 with two strikeouts over the last two games. Nick Fortes will get the start at catcher and bat ninth Tuesday versus the Pirates.

Rortvedt (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Hudson Valley on Tuesday.

Rortvedt has resided on the Yankees' injured list all season and has played only two games in the minors, which both came during his initial rehab assignment last May before he was shut down after requiring arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The young backstop has made a full recovery from the oblique injury that first forced him to the IL coming out of spring training, but he'll likely be in line for an extended rehab assignment as he looks to prove he's 100 percent healthy following knee surgery. Once he's activated from the IL, Rortvedt could challenge Kyle Higashioka for the Yankees' No. 2 catching job, as Jose Trevino appears locked in atop the depth chart after recently earning a spot on the American League All-Star team.
