Perez (thumb) isn't starting Wednesday against the Guardians.

Perez continues to deal with a minor thumb issue, and he'll remain on the bench for a fourth consecutive game to close out the season. It seems unlikely that the issue will significantly impact his offseason program.

Grandal isn't starting Wednesday against the Twins, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Grandal went 1-for-4 with a run Tuesday against Minnesota and will head to the bench for the fourth time in the last six games. Carlos Perez will start behind the plate and bat ninth.

Adams isn't starting Wednesday against the Mets.

Adams went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer and four strikeouts over his last two games but will head to the bench for a second consecutive matchup to close out the regular season. Israel Pineda is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Thaiss is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The lefty-hitting Thaiss will take a seat for the second day in a row with southpaw Ken Waldichuk taking the mound for the Athletics. Matt Duffy will spell Thaiss at first base.

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe will hit the bench for the second straight game to close out the regular season. The 22-year-old backstop batted .231 with no extra-base hits in his first 15 big-league plate appearances and will maintain rookie eligibility heading into 2023.

Bethancourt isn't in the lineup Wednesday against Boston, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bethancourt started the last three games and went 3-for-8 with an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts. Rene Pinto will take over behind the plate and bat seventh during Wednesday's regular-season finale.

Jeffers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

After catching in Tuesday's 8-3 loss, Jeffers will take a seat Wednesday as the Twins close their season with a day game. Gary Sanchez will fill in for Jeffers behind the dish.

Wong is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

After starting three of Boston's last four games, Wong will take a seat as the Red Sox wrap up their season Wednesday. The 26-year-old produced a .572 OPS in 55 plate appearances in the big leagues in 2022 and could get the chance to compete for a No. 2 role at catcher next spring.

Langeliers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season finale versus the Angels.

Langeliers will take a seat after he went 1-for-6 with four walks and two RBI while starting the first two games of the series. Sean Murphy will slide over to designated hitter while Stephen Vogt enters the lineup at catcher and bats fifth against the Angels.

Stallings is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Stallings will give way to Nick Fortes behind the plate in the series finale after catching in Tuesday's 2-1 loss. Unless he's needed off the bench Wednesday, Stallings will close the 2022 campaign with a .223 average, four home runs, 34 RBI and 25 runs in 384 plate appearances.
