  • Orioles' Jacob Stallings: Resting for day game

Stallings is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Guardians.

  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

    Guardians' Bo Naylor: Idle Thursday

Naylor is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles.

  • Brewers' Jeferson Quero: Dealing with arm injury

Quero was removed Wednesday from Triple-A Nashville's 14-13 win over Charlotte after four innings due to an apparent left arm injury, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The catching prospect appeared to suffer the injury to his non-throwing arm while attempting to tag out a baserunner earlier in the contest. The Brewers haven't provided an update on Quero's injury, but more information on his status could be available when he gets examined Thursday. After missing nearly all of the 2024 season while recovering from surgery to address a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Quero has slashed .259/.333/.362 with two home runs and two stolen bases over 129 plate appearances with Nashville in 2025.

White Sox's Kyle Teel: Records first career homer

Teel went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and three total runs scored Wednesday in an 11-9 win over Tampa Bay.

The highlight of Teel's day was a solo homer in the sixth inning for his first career MLB long ball, but he was plenty productive beyond that. The rookie catcher added a run-scoring single in the eighth frame and notched his first career four-hit performance. Teel has opened the second half of the season on a tear, going 7-for-14 with six runs and two RBI in his first three games.

  • Rangers' Kyle Higashioka: Nursing mild strain

Higashioka was diagnosed with a mild hamstring strain and will be out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Higashioka's hamstring injury resulted in him making an early exit from Tuesday's 6-2 win. Despite the backstop's diagnosis, manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that he's hopeful Higashioka can avoid a trip to the injured list. Jonah Heim will start behind the plate in Wednesday's series finale and will likely operate as the Rangers' primary catcher until Higashioka is healthy.

  • Orioles' Maverick Handley: Goes on 10-day IL with wrist sprain

The Orioles transferred Handley (concussion) from the 7-day injured list to the 10-day IL due to a right wrist sprain.

Handley suffered a concussion as a result of a collision with the Yankees' Jazz Chisholm back on June 22, but he also hurt his wrist on the play. He appears to have since cleared concussion protocol, but a recent visit with a wrist specialist confirmed a sprain. The Orioles haven't indicated how long Handley might be shelved.
