Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Hurt in intrasquad game
Raleigh suffered a head injury during Sunday's intrasquad matchup at the team's alternate training site, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Raleigh was hit by the backswing of a teammate during the game and was taken to get stitches in his head. It's unclear whether he's dealing with a concussion. The 23-year-old has yet to appear in the majors, but he impressed in camp and could join the 28-man roster at some point if injuries occur to the Mariners' catchers, assuming Raleigh himself is healthy.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Rangers' Jose Trevino: Receives Sunday off
Trevino is not in the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.
Trevino started the last four games and had two hits in each of those contests, but he'll take a breather Sunday. Jeff Mathis will take over behind the plate for Texas in the series finale.

Cam Gallagher C | PHI
Royals' Cam Gallagher: Resting Sunday
Gallagher is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Though he'll be getting a day off as Meibrys Viloria steps in behind the dish for the series finale, Gallagher has stepped in as the Royals' primary catcher since Salvador Perez (eye) was placed on the injured list. Gallagher started in three of the Royals' previous four contests, going 2-for-7 with two walks and a run.

Austin Nola C | COL
Mariners' Austin Nola: Productive night at plate
Nola went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and three runs in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.
Nola contributed to the Mariners' 10-run outburst with a third-inning RBI single that plated Kyle Lewis, and he was able to cross the plate himself on each of the three occasions he reached base. The backstop has offered excellent offensive production in the ongoing absence of Tom Murphy (foot), as he's now slashing .296/.345/.494 with three home runs and 15 RBI while posting a modest 14.9 percent strikeout rate.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Picks up another start
Jeffers will start at catcher and bat ninth Sunday against the Royals.
Since joining the Twins' active roster Thursday as a replacement for top backstop Mitch Garver (side), Jeffers has now received starts in three of the team's four games. The right-handed-hitting Jeffers, who has gone 2-for-7 with four strikeouts to begin his career, has made two of his three starts against southpaws, so he may not be guaranteed the majority of the work versus right-handed pitching. Instead, lefty-hitting veteran Alex Avila likely ranks as the Twins' top catcher versus righties while Garver is sidelined.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Rangers' Jose Trevino: Runs hit streak to four
Trevino went 2-for-4 with a double in Saturday's 10-1 loss to Seattle.
Trevino is making the most of his increased playing time in the wake of the injury to Robinson Chirinos (ankle). Saturday's effort was Trevino's fourth straight with multiple hits and at least one extra-base hit. He has eight hits in 16 at-bats with three doubles and one home run during the four-game span. Chirinos is eligible at any time to come off the injured list, but there's been little update on his condition.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Another homer
Grandal went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and one run scored Saturday against the Cubs.
Grandal went yard in the ninth inning, taking Duane Underwood deep for his third home run of the season. Grandal has now homered in back-to-back contests after missing the three prior games with a back injury. He had a slow start to the campaign and currently has a .236/.352/.403 line with 10 runs scored and 13 RBI across 88 plate appearances.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Astros' Martin Maldonado: Not starting Saturday
Maldonado isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Padres.
Maldonado has seen the majority of the playing time at catcher, but he'll get a day off for the team's second game against the Padres. Dustin Garneau will start behind the plate Saturday.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Sitting Saturday
Jansen is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports. Reese McGuire will get the start behind the dish in his place.
Jansen will now have sat out for three of the last five games for the Blue Jays as it appears his struggles at the plate (.151/.303/.283) are forcing manager Charlie Montoyo to shift to more of a timeshare behind the dish.
