Vazquez is not in the lineup Thursday against the Yankees, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Vazquez has started four of the past five games, going 5-for-16 (.313) with a double and a trio of RBI in those contests. Sandy Leon is starting behind the dish in this one, hitting ninth.

Perez is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Perez has a .908 OPS with four homers over his last 11 games. Kevin Plawecki starts behind the plate in his absence.

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Wednesday against Toronto.

D'Arnaud has gone hitless in 18 of the 23 games in which he's appeared this season and is certainly not making a great case to stick around once Mike Zunino (quadriceps) and Michael Perez (oblique) return from the injured list. Erik Kratz starts behind the plate Wednesday.

Narvaez is not in the lineup Wednesday against Texas, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Narvaez has improved on his .275/.366/.429 slash line from last season, posting a .294/.366/.477 line through 45 games this year. That's kept him in the lineup for more than two thirds of the Mariners' games this season, but he'll sit Wednesday, with Tom Murphy getting the call behind the plate.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Sanchez will receive a routine breather for the day game after the night game, allowing backup Austin Romine to get a turn behind the dish. The 26-year-old has enjoyed a huge May, slugging nine home runs and driving in 15 while batting .287.

Kirk went 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and four RBI for High-A Dunedin on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old catcher is enjoying a breakout campaign. After slashing .299/.427/.519 through 21 games for Low-A Lansing to begin the season, Kirk's found another gear since a promotion to the Florida State League, posting a .367/.456/.551 line in 15 contests. Even more impressive has been his control of the strike zone -- he's compiled a 26:15 BB:K between the two levels. There are still questions about whether he'll be able to stick behind the plate as he moves up the ladder, but reports of his defensive performance at rookie ball last year offered some glimmers of optimism. If he keeps hitting like this, the Jays will make sure to find a home for Kirk somewhere on the diamond.

Narvaez went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run in a loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

His throwing error in the first inning did get matters off on the wrong foot for the Mariners, but Narvaez continued with his strong contributions at the plate. The 27-year-old's seventh multi-hit effort of May snapped a two-game, 0-for-8 funk and pushed his average during the month to an impressive .299.

McCann went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's regularly scheduled game against the Royals.

The White Sox and Royals played a modified doubleheader Tuesday, finishing off Monday's suspended game in the afternoon before playing the regularly scheduled tilt at night. McCann had himself quite a couple of days, going 6-for-8 with a double and three runs scored to raise his average to .350, well above his career mark of .248. He's likely to sit out Wednesday's series finale.

Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 5-4 loss to the Padres on Tuesday.

The homer by Sanchez to dead center field cut the Padre lead to 4-1 for the only run against Eric Lauer. The round-tripper was his fifth in nine games, and his 17th homer out of 37 total hits. He also has 33 RBI and a .264/.335/.657 slash line in 140 at-bats.

McCann went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Royals in the completion of Monday's suspended game.

McCann scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. After a quick break, McCann was back at it in the regularly scheduled game Tuesday night. Prior to Monday's action, the 28-year-old backstop told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times that he's ready for an added workload with Welington Castillo (concussion) on the injured list.
