  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Belts third homer

Henderson went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored against the Royals in a 13-10 win Thursday.

Henderson gave Baltimore what looked to be an unsurmountable 8-1 lead in the third inning with a 425-foot, two-run blast to right field. However, Kansas City eventually took the lead in the seventh frame, and Henderson was replaced by a pinch hitter when his turn came up in the eighth. Despite the late-game substitution, this was a positive performance for Henderson, as he had gone just 1-for-13 over his previous five games entering Thursday.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Enjoys big game off bench

Urias went 2-for-2 with a double, four RBI and two stolen bases in a 13-10 win against the Royals on Thursday.

Urias didn't start the contest, but he was called upon to pinch hit for Gunnar Henderson in the eighth inning. The move paid dividends, as Urias knocked in a pair of go-ahead runs with a single and subsequently stole both second and third base. For good measure, Urias produced again in the ninth, knocking a two-run double to cap a brief but big performance. Though Urias has just one homer this season, he's knocked in 15 runs, fifth-most on the team.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Tallies fifth homer

Walls went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Thursday against the Pirates.

Walls opened the scoring with a solo home run off Vince Velasquez in the second inning of Thursday's game. It was his fifth long ball of the season, and second in his last three starts. Walls' defensive versatility has paid off early in the campaign, as he's been in the lineup in 14 of the team's last 21 games while playing a combination of second base, shortstop and third base. In addition to his power production, Walls has five stolen bases, 19 runs scored, 11 RBI and is hitting .290 across his first 80 plate appearances of the season.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Hammers 11th homer

Devers went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and four RBI in Thursday's 11-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Devers provided a two-run double to cap Boston's five-run second inning, and he added a two-run homer as insurance in the eighth. The third baseman is 7-for-25 (.280) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games. For the season, he's slashing .240/.291/.558 with 11 long balls, 31 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight doubles through 32 contests.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Athletics' Jace Peterson: Another steal Wednesday

Peterson went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in the Athletics' extra-inning loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.

Peterson swiped second base for the second straight night to push his season total to four. The veteran infielder now has a four-game hitting streak as well, his longest stretch of success at the plate in a season where he's still sporting just a .205/.302/.289 slash line across 96 plate appearances.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Lands on IL with oblique strain

The White Sox placed Burger on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique.

Burger suffered the injury while taking a swing during Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Twins. The severity grade of the strain is not clear, but even in a best-case scenario, Burger will likely be sidelined for most of May. Hanser Alberto is handling third base Thursday and could get regular run at the position while Burger and Yoan Moncada (back) are on the shelf.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Out of lineup versus lefty

McMahon is not in the lineup Thursday afternoon against the Brewers.

Mike Moustakas is playing third base and hitting fifth versus the Brewers and left-hander Wade Miley. Alan Trejo is at second base and batting sixth. McMahon has slashed just .200/.222/.371 in 36 plate appearances this year versus southpaws.

  • Rodolfo Castro 2B | PHI

Pirates' Rodolfo Castro: Gets breather Thursday

Castro is out of the lineup Thursday afternoon against the Rays, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

This looks to be a planned day of rest for Castro, who has posted a strong .274/.374/.440 batting line through 99 plate appearances this season for the NL Central-leading Pirates. Tucupita Marcano will cover shortstop and bat leadoff versus the Rays and righty Zach Eflin.

  • Brett Baty 3B | NYM

Mets' Brett Baty: Sitting against lefty

Baty is not in the lineup Thursday against the Tigers.

Eduardo Escobar will play third base and bat eighth with left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound for Detroit. Baty has seen more action against lefties over the last week or so, but he'll grab a bit of rest as the Mets wrap up this three-game set at Comerica Park.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Mashes sixth homer

Riley went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 14-6 win over the Marlins.

Atlanta slugged six homers on the night, with Riley adding to the fireworks in the fifth inning on a Devin Smeltzer changeup. The streaky third baseman has been in a cold stretch lately, batting .143 (6-for-42) over his last 11 games, but Riley's still managed to go deep twice during that time. On the season, he's slashing .239/.331/.427 with six homers and 18 RBI in 31 contests.
