    Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Considered day-to-day

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters after Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Royals that Ramirez is currently considered day-to-day due to a wrist sprain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez rolled his right wrist on a slide during a stolen base attempt in the third inning Saturday, but he managed to stay in the game until the sixth. The third baseman will undergo further testing Sunday morning to determine the severity of the injury and could be held out of the series finale, though it sounds like he will push to play. Daniel Schneemann figures to step in at the hot corner if Ramirez misses time.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Available Saturday

Hernandez (illness) is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup but is available off the bench for Saturday's game against Detroit, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hernandez didn't play in the first two games of the series while battling the flu. It appears the utility man has recovered from the ailment and will be available as a reserve for Saturday's finale.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Sprains wrist Saturday

Ramirez was removed from Saturday's game against the Royals due to a sprained right wrist, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez looked to be bothered by his hand/wrist after jamming it into the ground during a stolen base attempt in the third inning, but he managed to stay in the game for a bit longer until his removal in the sixth. The Guardians haven't provided any details regarding the severity of the six-time All-Star's injury, but a sprained wrist typically leads to a stint on the injured list more often than not. Daniel Schneemann is most likely to benefit from extra playing time if Ramirez lands on the IL.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | ATH

Athletics' Gio Urshela: Taking seat Saturday

Urshela isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners.

Urshela is off to a 1-for-7 start through two games as an Athletic, and he'll get a day to rest Saturday while Luis Urias mans third base and bats seventh.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Fighting neck spasms

Manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that Jung is dealing with neck spasms, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Jung was held out of the Rangers' lineup Saturday and Bochy said that the 27-year-old infielder will need a few days of rest for his neck to calm down while the team treats him, though it remains to be seen if he will end up spending time on the injured list. Josh Smith is set to cover third base Saturday and is likely to continue doing so until Jung returns.

  • Cam Smith 3B | HOU

Astros' Cam Smith: Sitting out Saturday

Smith is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Smith started his big-league career 1-for-1 but now sits at 1-for-5 with two walks through his first two games. He'll take a seat for Saturday's series finale, opening up right field for Zach Dezenzo.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Getting rest Saturday

Jung isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Boston.

Jung has gone 3-for-7 and driven in a run across the first two games of the year, but he'll get a chance to catch his breath Saturday while Josh Smith starts at third base.

  • Graham Pauley 3B | MIA

Marlins' Graham Pauley: Idle against southpaw

Pauley isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh.

The lefty-hitting Pauley will grab a seat on the bench Saturday while the Pirates send the lefty-throwing Bailey Falter to the hill. Jonah Bride will cover third base as a result, moving Kyle Stowers to the DH spot while Javier Sanoja gets the starting nod in left field.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

Angels' Yoan Moncada: Back in lineup

Moncada (thumb) will start at third base and bat fifth Saturday against the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Moncada didn't start the Angels' season opener Thursday due to a thumb issue that was giving him problems during spring training, but he was able to enter as a pinch hitter and draw a walk. Now seemingly recovered, he's set to make his first start at the hot corner since March 12.

  • Graham Pauley 3B | MIA

Marlins' Graham Pauley: Raps out double in Friday's loss

Pauley went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI in Friday's loss to the Pirates.

The 24-year-old has started back-to-back games at third base for the Marlins to begin the season, going 2-for-6 with a strikeout while batting at the bottom of the order. Pauley appears to be Miami's top option at the hot corner while Connor Norby (oblique) is on the shelf, but Eric Wagaman -- who pinch hit for Pauley in the seventh inning against southpaw Caleb Ferguson -- and Jonah Bride could get short-side platoon work at the position as well.
