Bregman went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Athletics.

Bregman came through with an RBI single in the third inning and later launched a solo home run in the seventh inning, his 24th of the season. His two homers this series -- he also went deep Friday -- were his first since July 28, though his .522 slugging percentage through 464 at-bats this season outpaces his best career marks by nearly 50 points. While he has only six RBI and eight runs scored in 56 August at-bats, he should benefit as the Astros' lineup returns to full strength with the imminent activation of Jose Altuve (knee) from the disabled list.

Contrary to an earlier report, the results of Machado's (wrist) X-rays are not yet known, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

While the test results remain unknown, Machado said he wasn't hit directly on the bone and still expects to play against the Cardinals on Monday, though that will likely depend on how he feels come leading up to the series opener. Chris Taylor would seemingly cover shortstop if Machado is forced to miss any time.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Sunday against the Astros.

Chapman took Justin Verlander deep in the first inning for his 17th home run of the season. The effort continued his power surge, as he now has four home runs and 12 total extra-base hits in 61 August at-bats. Since coming off the disabled list July 2, Chapman has improved his average from .247 to .276 and his OPS from .784 to .869.

Suarez went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer in Sunday's 11-4 win over the Giants.

Suarez took Andrew Suarez deep in the third inning as part of a seven-run inning for the Reds. It was his first long ball since Aug. 4, though he's still hitting a solid .292/.356/.462 with three homers and 10 RBI through 17 games this month.

X-rays on Machado's wrist came back negative, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. "I'm good, guys," the infielder said.

Machado went for X-rays after taking a pitch off his wrist in the ninth inning of Sunday's win over the Mariners. Fortunately, it appears the star infielder is simply dealing with a bruise. Machado said he expects to play against the Cardinals on Monday, though it wouldn't be surprising to see the Dodgers give him a day. He was 2-for-5 with two runs scored before exiting Sunday.

Machado is scheduled to undergo an X-ray on his left wrist, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Machado was hit on the wrist during the ninth inning of Sunday's 12-1 win over the Mariners, and while he was initially able to stay in the game, Justin Turner replaced him at third base for the bottom half of the inning. Manager Dave Roberts said Machado was hit right above the wrist, according to Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles, so the Dodgers are hopeful he'll be fine. More should be known after his test results are disclosed.

Moustakas went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Moustakas accounted for the Brewers only runs Sunday, recording a two-RBI double against John Gant in the third inning. While he hasn't homered since Aug. 7, Moustakas has three multi-hit games, four doubles and six RBI across his last eight starts.

Wisdom launched a pinch-hit solo home run Sunday against the Brewers.

Wisdom took Jeremy Jeffress deep in the eighth inning to record his first career home run. The 26-year-old made his major-league debut on Aug. 12 and has appeared nearly exclusively as a pinch hitter or defensive replacement, earning only nine at-bats in eight appearances. He has racked up four hits in that limited sample but has minimal value due to lack of playing time.

Escobar went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 7-6 loss to the Padres.

Since being acquired from the Twins on July 27, Escobar has stepped in as the Diamondbacks' everyday third baseman and has thrived in that role, turning in a .922 OPS while tallying three home runs, 12 RBI and 14 runs in 18 games. The 29-year-old should be locked into a prominent spot in the lineup for just about every game the rest of the way with the Diamondbacks facing stiff competition for the NL West title.

LeMahieu went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 extra-inning win over the Braves.

Like most of Colorado's hitters on the night, LeMahieu had to wait until Mike Foltynewicz exited the game before he could do any damage, and his 10th-inning solo shot ended up providing the winning run. The second baseman is now one shy of the career-high 11 homers he blasted in 2016, but LeMahieu's .275 batting average is still well off his usual pace.
