Astudillo was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday.

Surprisingly strong seasons from Mitch Garver and Jason Castro have left little room for playing time for Astudillo behind the plate, but at-bats are open in a utility role with Marwin Gonzalez on the injured list due to a hamstring strain. Astudillo has kept up an excellent strikeout rate (4.1 percent) in his second season in the big leagues, though his overall .250/.273/.357 slash line is far from impressive.

Moncada (back) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, batting sixth and playing third base.

Moncada had been out of the lineup since leaving Sunday's game against the Yankees with upper-back tightness. He was originally expected to start Tuesday, but he ended up appearing off the bench instead. He owned a 1.040 OPS over the 12 games prior to the injury.

Manager Craig Counsell said Moustakas, who is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Padres due to a left hand contusion, will "for sure" return to action this weekend against the Reds, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Counsell said that Moustakas is dealing with some soreness but is otherwise fine after getting hit by a pitch during Tuesday's game. While the manager noted that Moustakas may not be ready for Thursday's series opener, he was confident about the infielder rejoining the starting nine sometime over the weekend. In the meantime, Hernan Perez is starting at the keystone Wednesday.

Freeman was promoted to High-A Lynchburg on Wednesday, Emily Waldon of The Athletic reports.

The 20-year-old put together a nice first half of the season with Low-A Lake County, registering a solid slash line of .292/.382/.424 with three home runs and 24 RBI in his first year with the full-season squad. Through 61 games, Freeman already has more runs (51) than he had in 72 games with the short-season team last year (49).

Moustakas, who exited Tuesday's game against the Padres with a left hand contusion, will not be in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale, Sophia Minnaert of FSN Wisconsin reports.

While Moustakas will be held out at least one day as a result of being hit by a pitch Tuesday, X-rays taken on his hand came back negative, so there is reason to believe he will be back on the field in short order. Barring a roster move, Travis Shaw will likely man the hot corner for the Brewers on Wednesday.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Cardinals.

That ended an 11-game power drought for Anderson, who's hit .231 (9-for-39) with a single RBI since his last long ball. On the season, the 26-year-old is slashing a mediocre .246/.332/.386 with eight homers and 30 RBI in 70 contests.

Devers went 3-for-8 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to the Twins.

The 22-year-old is on fire right now, slashing .359/.375/.667 over his last eight games with three homers and seven RBI. Devers has upped his line on the season to .304/.357/.502, with all three numbers qualifying as career bests. Additionally, his 12 round trippers and 47 RBI through 73 contests put him on pace to establish new highs in those categories as well.

LeMahieu went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in the Yankees' 6-3 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

That's now three multi-hit efforts in his last four games for the hot-hitting veteran, who has been as solid as ever at the dish in his age-30 season. LeMahieu is now hitting .313 through 275 at-bats, and while his eight homers don't represent an eye-popping total, he's laced 16 doubles to leave him with a solid .458 slugging percentage.

Ramirez went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rangers.

Ramirez took Adrian Sampson deep in the third inning to record his fifth home run of the season. It was his first homer since May 14, and only his third extra-base hit in June -- all of which have come since the 14th. He's hitting a disappointing .204/.296/.313 across 304 plate appearances for the season, though he's maintained at least some value by swiping 16 bases.

Moustakas was removed from Tuesday's game in San Diego after being hit by a pitch on the left hand, Sophia Minnaert of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.

Moustakas has been playing through a fractured finger on his right hand for most of the season and is now dealing with a potential issue on his left hand. The 30-year-old briefly remained in the contest before being replaced at third base by Travis Shaw. According to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Moustakas was diagnosed with a left hand contusion.
