Chapman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and a third run scored in Wednesday's 9-5 win over the Giants.

The third baseman went yard in the first and ninth innings, and Chapman continues to pad his career-best total with 27 homers -- although remarkably, this was his first multi-homer game of the year. His 67 RBI also leave him one shy of last year's career high.

Devers went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two runs scored overall Wednesday against the Indians.

Devers followed up on his six-hit performance Tuesday by taking Shane Bieber deep in third inning to record his 25th home run of the season. His hot streak has extended beyond these two games, however, as he's managed four home runs, six doubles, 10 RBI and nine runs scored in his past 11 games. For the season, he's boasting a very strong .329/.376/.584 line across 532 plate appearances.

Arenado went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Arenado ambushed Archie Bradley on the first pitch of his at-bat and hit a 423-foot blast to win the game for the Rockies. The 28-year-old has a .277/.323/.491 slash line with seven home runs in 31 games since the All-Star break.

Candelario (thumb) resumed all baseball activities earlier this week, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

With Candelario's sprained left thumb apparently no longer hindering him in the field or when he swings, he should be ready to begin a rehab assignment in the coming days. The Tigers have been using Dawel Lugo as their primary third baseman since Candelario landed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 6.

McMahon is not starting Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

McMahon will take a seat on the bench for Wednesday's series finale with left-hander Robbie Ray starting for Arizona. In his place, Garrett Hampson is starting at the keystone and hitting seventh.

Moustakas went 1-for-5 with a double in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Twins.

After opening August with four consecutive two-hit outings, Moustakas has fallen into a 4-for-30 tailspin at the plate in the Brewers' subsequent seven contests. He'll remain in the lineup as the Brewers' No. 5 hitter in the series finale Wednesday and has built up enough goodwill at this point to be in no danger of surrendering his everyday role. Manager Craig Counsell may look to give Moustakas an off day soon if the slump continues for much longer, however.

Moncada (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Scot Gregor of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

After some uncertainty surrounding a timetable, it's encouraging to see that the 24-year-old is ready for a return to game action. Barring any setbacks, Moncada could rejoin the major-league club as early as Monday.

Senzel is not starting Wednesday against the Nationals, Byron Kerr of MASN Sports reports.

Senzel will retreat to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off after starting the first 12 games of August, going 10-for-49 with one home run and one stolen base during that stretch. Jesse Winker is covering center field in his stead.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

LeMahieu will just be getting some maintenance after starting in nine of the Yankees' last 10 games following his return from a minor groin strain. Thairo Estrada, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre earlier in the day, will fill LeMahieu's spot in the infield. Estrada will start at second base and bat ninth in the series finale.

Bregman (shoulder) is starting at third base and hitting cleanup Wednesday against the White Sox, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman has been cleared to rejoin the starting nine after sitting for both ends of Tuesday's twin bill due to a sore shoulder. The infielder, who is slashing .469/.564/.938 with 10 extra-base hits (two home runs, one triple and seven doubles) and 11 RBI in nine games this month, will face lefty Ross Detwiler in his return to action.
