Urshela (hand) will sit Wednesday against the Rays.

Urshela left Tuesday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the hand. His X-rays were negative, and although manager Aaron Boone suggested he may not have to miss any time, that was apparently overly optimistic. He'll sit for at least one game and will get another rest with the Yankees' scheduled off day coming up Thursday. According to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic, he's expected to rejoin the lineup Friday against the Rangers.

Rendon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.

Rendon will be rewarded with what appears to be a regular day off after the Nationals a clinched a spot in the playoffs Tuesday. The veteran third baseman is hitting just .182 over his past 10 games, though he owns an impressive 10:3 BB:K over that stretch. Asdrubal Cabrera is covering the hot corner in his place, with Brian Dozier starting at second base.

Manager Aaron Boone said that Urshela may not miss any further games after exiting Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Rays in the seventh inning with a bruised left hand, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. "Not necessarily," Boone said, when asked if Urshela would miss the Yankees' final four games with the injury. "Certainly, if he has an issue with it [Wednesday], then yes, but I don't necessarily at this point look at it as he's automatically down."

Urshela took a 95-mile-per-hour pitch off the hand during a fifth-inning plate appearance, prompting the Yankees to pull him before his next turn through the lineup came up. Fortunately, X-rays conducted later in the night cleared Urshela of any structural damage, but he'll be re-evaluated Wednesday before the Yankees assess his availability for the series finale in Tampa Bay. The Yankees aren't planning on sending Urshela in for further tests, so he seemingly has a good shot at playing this weekend in Texas even if he's not in the lineup Wednesday.

Escobar will sit Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Escobar played the entirety of Tuesday's 19-inning win, going 2-for-6 with a pair of walks. He'll get a well-deserved rest Wednesday, with Jake Lamb starting at the hot corner.

Riley started at first base and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Royals.

Riley picked up his third start in as many games Tuesday, this time filling in at first base for an injured Freddie Freeman (elbow). With Freeman not on track to rejoin the lineup until the weekend series with the Mets, Riley could pick up another start Wednesday in Kansas City, but the rookie has yet to take advantage of the spike in playing time. Riley has gone 0-for-12 in the last three games and has struck out in 16 of his 31 at-bats in September, hurting his chances of earning a spot on Atlanta's postseason roster in the process.

Longoria went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to the Rockies.

Longoria filled the stat sheet for his fantasy owners in this one, even chipping in his third stolen bag of the season. The 33-year-old is slashing .255/.325/.443 with 20 homers and 69 RBI while handling everyday duties at the hot corner.

Ramirez went 2-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBI in Tuesday's 11-0 rout of the White Sox.

Out since Aug. 24 due to a broken hand, Ramirez immediately made up for lost time in his return to the lineup, slugging a grand slam off Carson Fulmer in the first inning before adding a three-run blast off Hector Santiago in the third. Cleveland is a half-game back of a wild-card spot and four games behind Minnesota in the AL Central, but getting Ramirez back could provide just the boost the team needs to make the postseason. On the year, the 27-year-old is slashing .256/.327/.477 with 22 homers, 24 steals, 67 runs and 82 RBI through 127 games.

Vargas went 4-for-6 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 3-2 extra-innings win over St. Louis.

Vargas didn't start the game but was a central figure after entering for Domingo Leyba. His pinch-hit homer in the bottom of the ninth inning sent the game into extra frames, before his bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 19th inning plated the game-winning run. It was the longest game in the history of Chase Field. The 28-year-old utility infielder has been used primarily as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement, making just two starts since being called up Aug. 20.

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a walk and two runs in the Dodgers' 6-3 victory over the Padres on Tuesday.

Muncy provided the big blow in the game, hitting a grand slam in the fourth inning off Gerardo Reyes to account for four of his team's six runs. After bursting onto the scene with a 35-homer campaign last season, Muncy has shown it wasn't a fluke, with this latest blast giving him 34 long balls in 2019. He's also compiled a .249/.369/.515 slash line in 137 games.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the Astros' 3-0 victory over the Mariners on Tuesday.

That's now 40 homers on the season for Bregman, extending his career high in what has been another phenomenal campaign at the dish for the 25-year-old. In addition to the gaudy long ball total, Bregman sports an elite .297/.420/.593 slash line in 152 games.
