Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Huge night in return from IL
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBI in Tuesday's 11-0 rout of the White Sox.
Out since Aug. 24 due to a broken hand, Ramirez immediately made up for lost time in his return to the lineup, slugging a grand slam off Carson Fulmer in the first inning before adding a three-run blast off Hector Santiago in the third. Cleveland is a half-game back of a wild-card spot and four games behind Minnesota in the AL Central, but getting Ramirez back could provide just the boost the team needs to make the postseason. On the year, the 27-year-old is slashing .256/.327/.477 with 22 homers, 24 steals, 67 runs and 82 RBI through 127 games.

Astros' Alex Bregman: Reaches 40 homers
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the Astros' 3-0 victory over the Mariners on Tuesday.
That's now 40 homers on the season for Bregman, extending his career high in what has been another phenomenal campaign at the dish for the 25-year-old. In addition to the gaudy long ball total, Bregman sports an elite .297/.420/.593 slash line in 152 games.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: X-rays negative on hand
X-rays on Urshela's left hand were negative, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.
He was hit on the hand by a 95-mph fastball and eventually exited the contest due to significant swelling and bruising. Urshela is day-to-day with a bruised hand and four games left in the regular season. DJ LeMahieu will work as the primary third baseman while Urshela is sidelined.

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Exits with bruised hand
Urshela exited Tuesday's game against the Rays with a left hand contusion, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Urshela was hit on the hand by a 95-mph fastball and initially stayed in the game (he ran for himself), but then he was pulled when the Yankees were done batting. His hand was already swelling up and turning black and blue when he was on the bases, so he will need to get the swelling down in order to return to action Wednesday. The Yankees will then have Thursday off before a weekend series against the Rangers.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Back from IL
Ramirez (hand) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. He's starting at third base and hitting sixth against the White Sox.
His return will be a boost for the Indians, who are fighting for a spot in the playoffs. Ramirez wound up missing a month with a fractured hamate bone in his right hand, which ultimately required surgery near the end of August. The third baseman will look to pick up where he left off prior to suffering the injury, as he compiled an impressive .327/.363/.705 slash line with 13 home runs and six steals in 41 second-half games before going down.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Scores twice in win
Devers went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Rays.
Devers, who hit his 31st home run of the season in Saturday's loss, singled and scored in the first inning Sunday before walking and eventually scoring a second run on a wild pitch. The 22-year-old is slashing just .213/.180/.360 through 18 games this month, though he still owns an impressive .307/.359/.551 season slash line to go with 123 runs, 112 RBI and eight steals.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Blasts two-run homer
Candelario went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Sunday in the Tigers' 6-3 win over the White Sox.
A third baseman for most of his career, Candelario has moved across the diamond late in the season in preparation for a potential full-time role at the position in 2020. Any chance Candelario has at holding down an everyday gig for the entirety of next season will hinge of his performance at the plate, where he's steadily declined the past two years. Though he turned in a solid series against the White Sox, Candelario is slashing just .201/.304/.333 over 372 plate appearances in 2019.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Multi-hit streak continues
Moncada went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored Sunday in the White Sox's 6-3 loss to the Tigers.
Moncada batted .500 during the series in Detroit and will head into the final week of the regular season with a 10-game hitting streak. With a blistering .444/.489/.691 line thus far in September, Moncada has boosted his season average from .291 to .316, vaulting him into third place in the American League.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Blasts 26th home run
LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a victory over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
LeMahieu launched a long ball to right field in the second inning to stake the Yankees to a 6-0 lead. The 31-year-old has gone deep twice in his last three games to extend his career-high total to 26 on the season. He needs one more RBI to hit triple digits for the first time in his career and has already crossed the plate 108 times this season to establish another career high. With a .329/.377/.523 slash line, he has been one of the most impressive hitters in the majors in 2019.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Tracking toward return Tuesday
The Indians are expected to activate Ramirez (hand) from the 10-day injured list and insert him into the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
After undergoing surgery Aug. 26 to remove the hamate bone from his right hand, Ramirez made swift progress in his recovery and looks on track to return before the regular season ends, something that didn't appear possible when he was shut down with the injury. The Indians were convinced to bring Ramirez back early after he fielded ground balls and took batting practice from both sides of the plate in recent days before advancing to facing live pitching Saturday. So long as Ramirez's return to action Tuesday goes well and the Indians aren't eliminated from playoff contention before the regular-season finale Sept. 29, expect him to start in each of Tribe's last six games.
